Where are We in Planning?

Hello everyone. :)

I was just curious as to how far everyone is on their wedding planning, since June 2013 is a long way away. Are some of us procrastionating? Or have some of us planned and booked everything already?

I just recently reserved the chapel and the reception site for my wedding. Everything else is a bit chaotic. lol. In case anyone was curious, the ceremony is at Thorncrown Chapel and the reception at the Sky Ridge Pavillion, both located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

    We have ceremony site (FI's church, so that was easy), reception site, and photographer picked. Deposits are paid on all. We are using in-house dj and caterer for reception, so I guess we have those too. All of that was done in March though, so I feel behind since it's been awhile since I've done anything wedding-y.  I also bought all of the vases for our centerpieces and have asked my bridesmaids (my sisters and best friend). Our engagement pictures are scheduled for this October. And we start pre-marital counseling with our pastor next Saturday! Whew!

  • We have our ceremony & reception site (they're the same place), DJ, photographer, officiant, photo booth, rings, we bought scoops & a bowl for the candy bar, I have my dress and we've basically picked a caterer but we have our tasting on Saturday before we sign the contract. We booked everything pretty far in advance so we could have lots of time to pay everything off in small amounts. And now that all the big things are booked we probably won't be doing much more until the Save the Dates in September.

  • Reception and ceremony site with hotel block. It's a one stop wedding so it's a hotel reception and outdoor on the lake wedding. The provide tables and chairs, basic linens, vases and votive holders for centerpieces, all catering and open bar, honeymoon suite for the night of and a holding room for the bridal party. We also have our DJ and photographer. I have two dress appointments for the second weekend in July. I have my bridesmaids dresses picked out but not otdered and we have our rings picked out but not ordered. We also have our officiant; FI's cousin.  Next on our docket are e-photos and flowers!

  • I dont think June 2013 is that far away! FI and I have been engaged for 10 months and the time is just flying by, it will be here before you know it. A lot of us have been here for a while and have a lot done. I have my reception and ceremony sites, photographer, photo booth, meeting with a DJ next week, dress shopping for me is currently underway, and going the first week in July with my BMs to look at dresses.

  • We have been engaged since Jan 1, 2012, and so far all we have is our reception location booked, our wedding bands and we know who is going to be in our wedding party. We are desperately seeking a ceremony location that will fit 200 people!

  • We have our reception and ceremony site (the same place, which includes catering, alcohol, chairs, etc.), we have our DJ, photographer and videographer. We are currently looking at the musicians for our ceremony/cocktail hour. I also have my dress ordered, and we've asked our MOH and Best Man (haven't asked the rest of the WP yet).

  • We have our reception and ceremony site booked and (multiple) payments made. Our venue includes the food so we don't need a caterer. We have our hotel block reserved and our room for the night of and my room for the night before booked because I wanted the presidential suite and didn't want anyone to book it before me! We have our DJ, Transportation, and Photographer booked and all deposits paid. We have done our E-photos and I have made the STD Magnets - but we haven't ordered them yet. I also bought my dress.  

    Next on my list is cake and flowers. I spoke to the florist and they told me to call them back in the fall.

  • Ceremony and reception venues picked and paid for.  Have guys outfits picked, working on finding a dress.  Got a DJ.  I also have a person to do pics.  Have save the date picked out.    Still have to find someone for flowers and cake.

    I don't think June 2013 is far away at all! It could just be that we live in a busy area. When selecting our venue in September 2011 the date I originally wanted was already taken. But now I'm glad I'm a June bride. :)

    Ceremony/Reception venue, officiant, photographer, hotel block, and shuttle to/from reception all booked and deposits paid. Wedding party chosen. Rings selected and started paying for. Dress picked out, taking mom and grandma next week to get the official approval and purchase. Bridesmaid dresses selected. We saw a band over the weekend that we will probably book.  Save the Dates purchased, will send out probably in July.

    I think that's about it right now...

  • I'm feeling like I am doing quite well so far. We have booked the church, officiant, reception, photographer, DJ and wedding shoes thanks to Payless ending their dyeables!  I picked my dress, but won't have the full amount to order in until October-ish.

    I still need to find a florist, cake lady/guy, block rooms, pick out his ring and see the one that compliments my e ring, get e photos done in September to have Save The Dates sent out, Wedding Requirements for the Diocese, and get the bridesmaids to choose their dress style. That's all I can think of now, but I know I still have a lengthy list thanks to a full Catholic wedding.
  • We have our venue booked (which includes caterer, tables, chairs), our photographer, our DJ (my brother), and our videographer. We were looking to book the chapel we want this week, but the coordinator for it is out of town. We haven't asked our officiant yet, but she's my best friend's grandmother so I know she'll do it. Currently, we're researching cupcake companies and trying to figure out what type of centerpieces we want to do. 
  • Ceremony and reception venue booked, DJ, photographer, and officient are set. We have the bakery and my dress. I have one more consult with a florist tomorrow than that will be booked in the next few days. I will book videographer in the next couple weeks. I think I have all the big stuff pretty much done.

    Don't feel bad. It is hard planning a wedding on 1 income.

     
  • Wow!!  I am going this coming weekend to look at dresses. We are waiting for our pastor to get back from vaca to see if the date we want will work with the church. Also hoping we can have the reception on site too. I have a lot of ideas, but nothing has really been set down. I might have a caterer. Everything is on hold until we see if the church is willing to let us have music and dancing.
