I am so, so happy that we just booked our engagement photo session with Amanda Williams this morning. Yay!  Now I can get the website going and we can send the Save the Dates out since we have a ton of OOT guests from all over the world.  It took some real strategy to get a session because she only goes on a first-come, first-serve basis and her available dates go super quick.  She's also going to be our wedding and reception photographer.  I am so relieved.  Things are going pretty much just as planned.

    Woohoo! We recently booked out engagement session as well, for September in Ann Arbor. Where and when is yours going to be? Any idea what you're going to wear?! :)

    Hi mpickl!  I'm so glad you replied since I know we are also on the September board together and equally far along with the planning!  Yay!  I was thinking about Ann Arbor but we are having it by the train tracks in royal oak instead, which is cool cause that's where me and my FI Paul live.  I have no idea what I'm going to wear!  What about you?  Suggestions?  Are you going to plan your outfit with your FI?

    Yay for September Michigan weddings!!

    I have an email in to my photographer discussing what to wear, so hopefully I will get some suggestions from her. I'm thinking we are going to do the shoot in two parts -- first a more casual shoot in a nature setting (the Arb on campus) and then the second part more formal in some of the bars and resturants on Main Street. I am definitely in charge of what we are both wearing!! For the casual, I want some sort of a sun dress, something playful since I want some shots of us horsing around in the river. FI will be in jeans and a casual button up or polo with a brown blazer. Then for the formal, I have a white sleeveless dress with some black stripe details on the skirt from LOFT. I think I'll have FI in either slacks or nice jeans with a white button up with black or dark stripes, and a black blazer. 

    Can you tell I've given it a little thought??? Lol.

    But yeah, I have been doing lots of research looking at outfits, poses, themes, what to do, what not to do... And now I'm just really excited! Can't wait to see yours and to share mine as well! I don't know the train tracks in Royal Oak, but that sounds like an amazing backdrop!

    Awesome!  We can be bride buddies!  I was thinking about the Arb too cause I graduated from UM and lived in Ann Arbor for a bit.  But Royal Oak provides a good mix of urban, suburban, greenery, gritty, etc.  I love dresses and plan to wear a bright one.  But I don't think we'll have time to change.  Royal Oak's Main Street is bustling and busy a lot like a little mini-Ann Arbor with lots of opportunities.  He's wearing this black button down shirt with stripes that I love that he bought in the UK last December and jeans with his Doc  Martens.  I'll definitely share my pics with you.  Well, gotta leave my cube so ttyl!
