We have a good friend who's guidance has been valuble to me over the length of our relationship. he is a Decon in the Catholic Church (he preforms marriage ceremonies in the church). We are not getting married in a church, and dont plan on doing a religious ceremony. Would it be ok to ask him to marry us? I dont want to offend him, but, it would mean alot to me.
