Wedding Day Top Five

There seems to be a lot of stress on the board as we move closer and closer to our wedding dates!

Yesterday, I was freaking out over a million little things. What cheered me up the most was making a top five list for my wedding day. Other than the obvious answer of "I marry FI!", what are the top five things/people/events etc. you're looking forward to?

1. Brunch with my mom and my BMs
2. Having my make up professionally done for the big day
3. The "first look" photos with FI.
4. Hearing the toasts at the reception
5. Dancing with my dad

Getting the wedding over so I don't have to deal with BM anymore on wedding related details LOL but I am just ignoring her right now... for the most part, being civil and nice, not going to let her ruin my day

for sure first look photos with FI (His mom doesn't get this, she figures him and I can ride to the ceremony together) umm NO!!! DUH!

Dancing with my SON (even though he doesn't want too 'cause he is to shy hehe)

a morning with my girls... (minus my BM) just MOH, my mum, FMIL, and FI's 2 gay uncles, who are doing our hair and makeup

Being surrounded by friends and family!!

2. Saying our vows with our toes in the sand.
3. Looking at FI as I come down the aisle.
4. Seeing my brother who I haven't seen in many years.
5. All the cool photos that we want to take to remember our special day.

I'm going to give my number one (other than marrying FI):

FINALLY getting to see my vision come to life. Thirteen months of blood, sweat and tears (literally all of those things) comes down to one day, and I am so anxious to actually see it somewhere other than in my mind!!

1. Having my hair and make-up done.
2. The glass of champagne that I will be handed upon my arrival at the venue.
3. Walking down the aisle with FI.
4. Dancing with my three year old nephew and hearing him say, "You look pretty, Auntie," which he loves to tell me.

5. The after-party! I got a cute short ivory dress for bar-hopping after the reception.

THIS!!!! and....

1. The First Look Photography!!! I'm excited for the intimate time before the wedding I get with FI...all because we decided to do this!
2. Seeing FI at the end of the isle!!
3. Seeing everyone I love in one room all coming together for 'us"!
4. Dancing with FI and my daughters and stepson! I'm making them all dance with me once.
5. The honeymoon (I am booking today, a helicopter ride from Montego Bay Airport to Sandals Whitehouse....surprising FI with this!!!)

1. Seeing my fiance waiting for me at the end of the aisle
2. Walking up the aisle with my dad. He keeps telling me he'll have tears in his eyes, so I know I'll cry! (My friend gave me some stupid and funny things to think of/distract me as we walk. Hopefully it'll work!)
3. Getting my hair and makeup done with my sisters and best friends (singing and dancing along to the playlist we've been putting together!)
4. Spending the day/weekend with friends and family who're coming from all over the world(!) to celebrate with us.
5. Seeing everything we've planned for the last year come together in real life!

1) the morning with my mom and sisters (and BMs too). I'm so excited to wake up on Oct 27th and just be like "OMG it's FINALLY here!" and go out to breakfast and get Starbucks (with 'bride' on the cup, haha)

2) having my dad walk me down the aisle, seeing my FI at the end of the aisle, and knowing all my loved one will be smiling and oooohing and awwing

3) first dance w/ FI. Probably our first dance to sort of be alone.

4) seeing all my hard work pay off - seeing the finished product

5) spending the evening dancing and enjoying the company of our loved ones

CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I am so not kidding!)

Pictures - this isn't just about our family blending. This will be an opportunity to have my family or origin together and dressed nicely and take pictures and I am excited about pics of my kids with all their cousins, and so on

Being dressed up. When I was a little girl, I wanted so badly to grow up and be pretty. I'm not quite sure I made it LOL but FI likes what he sees and I love the feeling of dress-up days - this is the biggest! Hair and make up and dress and shoes!

1. Seeing all the people who are coming from OOT that I don't get to see often. 2. Walking down the aisle with my parents, to the music that I nearly broke my brain trying to pick out, and seeing FI's reaction to finally seeing me in my dress. 3. Our Star Wars themed reception entrance, complete with lightsabers. 4. Our signature cocktail. 5. Watching my mom and FI's crazy friends go nuts on the dance floor! That's the top 5 for the wedding itself, but the big one is...not having to WAIT for it anymore!!

1. The day before - making sure everything is set up and then going to the rehearsal and dinner and spending time with our bridal party and immediate family
2. Getting ready in the morning - complete with our late 90's, early 2000's playlist that the salon is letting us play over their system (yay backstreet boys, nsync, and old school brittney!)
3. spending the time with my dad before the ceremony and walking down the aisle - seeing FI and him seeing my dress finally
4. "It is our honour to introduce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Hyshka!"
5. dancing the night away with my HUSBAND, family, and friends

Sorry in advance for the formatting, on my cell. 1 wearing my dress and feeling the most beautiful I've ever felt. 2 FIs face when he sees me for the first time walking down the aisle. I really hope he cries because I think its sweet but I'm not betting on it. 3 Seeing photos of FI opening his surprise Red Wings cufflinks the day of the wedding. I'm going to put a little note with them that says "It's game time." Lol. 4 Getting ready with my girls! Hair, makeup and mimosas! And hopefully a sweet playlist. 5 This last one is hard to choose. I'm going to say our first dance. Though I'm also really looking forward to the entire day before the wedding with set up, nail appointments with my girls, rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and then mini golf if its not too chilly!

The biggest thing for me... my grampa walking me down the aisle! I can't wait : Then seeing my sister in a dress, all girlied up : Dancing with FI and our son : Pictures! And being the first of my friends to be married...that's a huge one. My bestie did everything before me met her SO, had kids, finished school and its kind of silly, but I love having this one 'first'!
