fitbit users?

For those of you who use Fitbit, how do you like it?

Do you use Fitbit One or the Fitbit Zip?

thanks!

Re: fitbit users?

  • I have a fitbit one, and I love it. I bought one for my FI for Christmas. we're staying accountable to each other, and tracking what we eat is really helping us so far. We don't live in the same state, so being able to follow each other's progress online makes it even better!

I have a FitBit ultra which is similar to the One. I love it! It motivates me and has really opened my eyes to just how active and inactive I can be. I also think it's generates a more accurate picture of how many calories I'm burning in a day so I adjust my intake better to stay at an appropriate deficit.

    I would definitely recommend either.

  • I agree with Kwith - the online tools are really what make it worth it. I think the charts and graphs over time are really helpful in seeing progress and trends.

I got the Fitbit One for Christmas from my sister who has one (and also got one for both my parents, haha). I love it! It shows steps, floors climbed, miles traveled, calories and how active you are. It gives me a better idea of how much I burn in a typical day (also what I burn at work vs. a lazy day at home). The thing I really love though is the sleep tracker. It's interesting to see how much sleep I "really" get. I also sync with MFP to see how my eating compares to what I burn. The combo of these two is awesome!

As for the difference between the Zip and One, it depends on what you want. If you just want to see how active you are and how many steps you take, the Zip would be just fine. If you like the extra ability to track sleep and floors, obviously the One would be better. I'd recommend either though!

ETA: Totally forgot about the silent alarm. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds interesting. I'm thinking of trying it on a day I don't have to get up for work so if it doesn't work I'm not in trouble, haha. Just another cool feature!
