Bridal Showcases

Hi Ladies. Have you attended any bridal showcases or expos? Was it worth your time? I have heard the vendors just try to get your info to call/nag you but I have heard you can win prizes too. Any thoughts?

    I read the post from a few days ago and dispite the mixed reiews I still decided to go to my first expo this past Sunday....I found it really helpful not only to find vendors but there are a few of the same kinds of vendors at the expos and then you can see and compare their work right there.  Like photographers for example instead of meeting with three separate photogs I was able to flip through the work of them and right off the bat elimiate certain styles I did not like.....also one of the entertainers who was there did a performance at the end and my FI loved them and they were not anything we were considering looking into before hand!!

    My suggestion is to go to some of your local ones--the huge ones in Philadelphia are mob scenes and you don't get the chance to really interact w/vendors.  There's one called offbeat bride that rocks--by far the best one I ever went to, and one that is groom friendly.
