Hotel recommendations for the wedding night.

My FI and I are probably going to go on our honeymoon about a week after the wedding but I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations for a nice hotel we could stay in for the night of. We are thinking downtown, but really anywhere in the Des Moines area would be fine.

    If you really want to splurge, you could stay at the Suites on Locust. Are you reserving blocks of rooms anywhere? We are reserving rooms there for a discounted price and if your guests book those rooms, they give a discount to the bride and groom if they want a room for the night. Other than that I'd suggest the new Hyatt on Sixth Ave. downtown. It is really awesome in there.

    I'll definitely have to check out the Suites on Locust. It's not far from our reception site either. I do plan on reserving blocks of rooms but I was thinking about doing it at two different hotels. Almost all of my guests are from out of town and I want them to have a couple of different priced options.

    Our reception is at the Renaissance Savery so we have a room booked there. I love the hotel and there are several different room types - regular room or room with jacuzzi! Really nice hotel and great staff!

    I saw the rooms at the Rennaissance Savery when I took a tour of the venue. The bridal suite is definitely nice and at the top of my list. We're getting married at the Temple for Performong Arts so a downtown location would be great. I appreciate all of the info and will have to check out some of the other ideas so I have something to compare.
