Anyone wearing a blusher?

So I posted this previously, but everyone thought I was talking about a bird cage veil lol. So thanks knotties! but not what I was looking for lol

A blusher is a veil that covers your face, the one that gets flipped over your head, like on the movies.

I'm wanting to wear a cathedral length veil but am thinking I would also like a blusher...mostly because I've always pictured myself wearing one. I haven't been successful in finding any pics online that pair a blusher with a cathedral length veil, so I'm wondering if it will look funny. Anyone else looking for this combo?

Re: Anyone wearing a blusher?

  • I think I remember replyin to your original post & I was referring to the one that gets flipped over too in my comment. I'm not pairing my blusher with a cathedral length veil but I don't think it'll look funny. Personally, I think it looks regal/formal and if your wedding style matches that then it should be fine.

    Here's some blusher+cathedral veil pics I found:

morning luvies.  I'm wearing both.  Full magilla for the walk and ceremony, birdcage for reception.  The one I ordered  with the blusher is a length I'd never heard of before, called regal (anything over 120").  Cathedral  is 108" and standard (just kissing the floor) is 88-96".  The first pic is what made me want a cathedral but I didn't order from this lady because all my customizations would've come to nearly $350.  She's got a ton of pics and testimonials on her site though, check her out:

Lady I did order it from was on ebay.  I can pm you her address if you like but this is what it'll look like, only, longer and with two tiers - $68 (<--- not a typo, it's coming from China *waves at Casey*):

  • L.O.L! krisla! why you didnt say nothing! I totally thought a blusher was a birdcage! my bad. But i'm agreeing with sultry. china. People want hundreds of $$$'s USED so i can only imagine what they cost new.

<div>Really wish I was this brave! Right now I am negotiating with the place I bought my dress from..the veil I like is $475. So far they have only come down to $414 with tax and everything else included. Veils are just like dresses, you should tell them your budget before they start putting things on your head. Cause that veil looked perfect with my dress and now every veil I look at is not that veil! sheesh...</div>

  • ro did you finalize your order yet?  I swear I'm not that brave either but I am a risk taker and perfectly willing to eat 70 bux for the prospect of saving 300 more.  best believe I'll post pics when it comes but if you haven't finalized yet, she has no negative reviews.  She and I have already exchanged about 10 notes and that was just about my questions.  She says her production time is 2 weeks and shipping takes 15 days max, but that's for a dress so I imagine it's less for a veil.  here's the link for her e-store.

<div>Girl I fell in love with a cathedral like that too. Then I slapped myself and went to my garment district and got one for $50. I really really wanted the cathedral but the veil at the shop was more than any of my dresses! No maam</div>
