Anyway, a local rescue agreed to have him neutered and list him for adoption on the condition that I continue to foster him. It's not an ideal situation for me -- I have four dogs, two cats and one very allergic fiance -- but it's better than almost certain death at the pound. (A couple of years ago, when I did rescue, the statistic was 60,000 unwanted dogs and cats euthanized
each year in the Phoenix metropolitan area. I can't imagine that's improved with the recession.)
So, Puppy is safe for now and scheduled to go under the knife tomorrow. But I could really use something cleverer than "Puppy" to put on his paperwork!
