  I'm using RyoNo Photo. We just did e-pics yest & he rocks. He's done several friends' weddings, so I knew he was skilled even before we met. Plus, he's reasonable. www.ryonophoto.com

  We're using Michael Dempsey, photojournalistic, starts @ $2200 (I thinkkk) and goes up from there.  You can also customize your package with a la carte items.

  I'll second Robert Wayne Photography.  I don't know how close you want to stay to $2k, but he starts around there.  We're going to be spending ~$3k but that includes his best photo album, a pair of parent books, and the disc of hi-res image with full rights.
  
  Jason Rhee is another good choice.  We looked at him and like him, too, but Bob's style of photography and the quality of his albums just grabbed us a bit more.

  I second Julian Ribinik!!! Exactly what you need in regards to photo style and prices for his packages are listed on his site so there is no smoke in mirrors . Good luck!
