Should I leave it?

So.. we were originally planning a much larger wedding later this year, but due to life constraints/money constraints we are having a 50 person wedding this summer. I am still having a bridal shower with women from this group of 50.  We registered for a lot of things when the wedding was going to be bigger, but now that its just immediate family - I feel like it makes us look greedy.

What should we do?

Re: Should I leave it?

  • I voted to delete items, although I don't think people would be offended by a larger registry. The main thing is that you might want to narrow it down to your top favorite items, as you are now likely to get fewer gifts. For example, I really want my china most out of everything, and if I was suddenly having a smaller wedding I would delete a lot of the non-china items (to make it more likely to get the thing I want most).
  • I would leave it- I don't think people will judge. AND you can use the completion discount on the things leftover afterwards!

<div>Giving your guests lots of things to choose from is never a problem, I would much rather have too many things to choose between than too few (which is usually the case it seems).  But I know there are certain items I want/need more than others, so I would downsize to make it easier for guests to figure out what you really want.</div>
  • I would rather have lots to pick from off a registry then only a few items.  I say leave it!

  • Thanks for the advice!!
  • I say leave it... options are good.  Besides, whatever you don't get that you really want, you can use some wedding cash and get it.
