What happened to the workout?

Wasn't there a weekly update for us girls trying to get in shape or loss some weight before our wedding to stay on track? If we would like to start that back up I will go ahead and start off the new one right now and then start it back on Mondays again!

For me it is week 3 of getting back to the gym since the start of finals last quarter. I've been going atleast every other day and i'm there for about an hour each time. My eaing habits I feel are really good right now, not as much junkie food or eating out! however my pepsi is definitely a killer ( I get it free at work so I always have a couple glasses, atleast I only work about 2 times a week!).

So how are all you doing?

  • I've been on and off with working out.  I lost a couple pounds through dieting but seem to have kind of stalled there, too.

    I have plans to go running tonight, but who knows. Usually I'm just running on the weekend.  I need to get my butt in gear soon though, because I think FI and I will be running the Broad Street Run (a 10 miler here in Philadelphia) this May.

    I also have a couple Pilates DVDs I bought for toning up, but have yet to use those...

  • Kap - FI is doing Broad Street this year, too!  I'm a terrible runner, though, so I'll be cheering on the sideline.  I'm hoping to enter my first cycling competition this year, though.

    I've been working out at least five days a week, and eating a healthy diet (even had a nutritionist look at it) with 0 weight loss for the past three weeks.  My body is giving me a big fat middle finger.

  • I have been trying hard for about four months down doing a combination of things.  Ive been following weight watchers as well as working out 4 times a week, was doing a lot of running when the weather was nice, it was nice to get out again instead of being stuck inside the smelly gym! LOL Now i do a lot of zumba (SO much fun!) and I have been doing a lot of light weight training but i seem to have hit a pleateu over the past two or three weeks.   Any suggestions? i know I need to switch up my workout just not sure what to do im pretty stumped which sucks because i was so active up until i went away to college!

  • I have been trying to really stick with it too! We take engagement pictures this month and a lil extra motivation from you ladies would be awesome! I try to run and hit the gym at least 3-4 times a week. I also do Zumba!!! I love it! Its the best!!

  • I have been using myfitnesspal.com to track my food intake every day. It's been helping me to make a consious decision.  Otherwise I've been running 3-4 days a week, and just did 7 miles this morning. I signed up for a half marathon in May, and that has helped to keep me accountable to the training.

    Have lost 7 pounds in the last 2 months, and have 17 left till my goal weight. 

    Well all get there ladies. We have about 6 months left.
  • I had been working out before Xmas and my birthday in January, but I had 3 moles biopsied on my bday (yeah, pooor planning on my part I know), and had stitches for a week, then the day after my stitches came out one scar popped open as I got out of bed (totally opened up my stomach), so I had to go BACK in for more stitches!!  I physically could not do anything that stretched my stomach for over 2 weeks (just got the stitches out on Sunday, FI pulled them for me)!!  I am taking it easy until Sunday to ensure it is healed enough to not cause more damage, then am going to get back into working out!!

    I failboated on MyFItnessPal but plan to be back on there now that I can actually try to work out again!! :)

  • Been in the gym with a trainer since Thanksgiving, just started really watching my diet a few weeks ago.  So far, I've lost 10 lbs and 3/5 inches off my waist.  Plus I'm starting to see some definition in my arms (awweesssooomee).


    I pretty much kill it during the week, but the weekends are hard.  Oh well, being in the gym 6 days a week should counter my rough weekends a bit.
