Camrose Hill Farm in Stillwater

Hi all!

Upon searching for venues, I stumbled upon Camrose Hill Farm in Stillwater and loved the photos that I saw of their ceremony/reception sites online.  It really looked like it would be a fantastic place for a garden party type wedding. Since I live in Florida, my mom toured Camrose Hill for me.  I really hoped that she would absolutely love it, but unfortunately she had some criticisms.  Her main concern was the comfort of the wedding party and of the guests.  She said that the facilities (bridal cottage, groomsmen room, and pavilion) were old and smelled of mildew and mold, and she also said that the farm did not smell fresh and country-ish like she expected.  I was wondering what other peoples' experiences were with Camrose Hill as a ceremony and reception venue.  Did the facility meet yours and your guests' needs?

Thanks!

I have no experience with them, but I DO know that they are incredibly hard to get ahold of. I've emailed about 4 times with no response.... doesn't bode well for having to work with them to plan the big day.  I think it's $2500 to rent their space. You should check out Trellis Events in Stillwater. I've toured there and it is BEAUTIFUL. And I love the idea that you're surrounded by nature but you're still protected in case of rain/heat/etc, We were going to go with them, but they raised their prices for next year and now it's out of our range. Good luck with your search!

pcslindsers06, Camrose Hill is actually even more expensive for the 2011 season, and rental costs for a semi-permanent tent, tables, chairs, linens, etc are tacked on.  So it seems like the expenses could really add up!  One of the aspects we love about it is that you can bring in your own beverages and choose your own caterer.  If you are still interested in contacting them, I would recommend giving them a call - they responded to me pretty quickly by phone.

@Izzygrim, thanks for the second recommendation for Trellis!  I saw some pictures online and thought it looked really beautiful.  I will have to look into it further and might let you know if I have any particular questions. :)
