Bijou Bridal

I mostly post on the HV bored but I have an apt at Bijou Bridal in paramus on Friday.  Two people I know reccomended this place but now I am reading reviews online and a lot of them are not very good.(as far as customer service)  I was wondering if anyone here has used them and could share their experiences.  TIA

They are great!  The only one thing bad I could say is that one time they made me wait a long time but I don't think that was their fault.  One person comes late and it throws the whole schedule off.  I got my dress and bm dresses there.  Everything has come on time and I never felt rushed.  The store is beautiful and my dress and my girls' dresses were done in one fitting!   It's a beautiful store too!

I went to Bijou Bridal and thought the service was great!  I didn't end up finding a dress there but loved the store and service

I agree.  It was the first place (out of 11 shops) that I went, and I had a good experience.  The saleswoman was really helpful and allowed my group and me to pick up dresses on our own and have her pick some out as well.  I didn't find anything to buy, but it was a good trip.  Overall, the store was a lot nicer than some of the others I visited.

I was there over the weekend.  I had the first appointment of the day so I didn't have to wait.  They brought me up to the bridal floor and let me look at all the dresses and she told me to pick 6-8 i liked.  I only chose 4 because I had a pretty good idea of what I liked going in.

I heard horror stories too about them cutting the tags off so you don't know the style and stuff like that, but my consultant was really nice. I fell in love with a dress and she gave me all the info.

Hmm now that you mention it I do remember asking them the designer of a dress that I liked and the style number.  They told me the designer but were very weird on telling me the style number.  They were like just go on the website and see if you can find it on there.  It was almost as if they didnt want to give it to me for some reason.

I got my gown and also my BM dresses from Bijou.  So far my experience has been great, I think the consultants are really helpful.  They are very protective of the style numbers, they actually create their own style numbers and don't use the designers so you can't go find it elsewhere without a little homework.  I noticed on the BM dresses the style # was the designer # backwards.

jewls- that is interesting. From the point of view of a business, it makes sense though.  If you could easily get the style number, you could try these dresses and maybe even get measured and then go and order them elsewhere.

Price-wise though they seem to be on par with the other places I went to.

I shopped for a gown at Bijou too.

    What I liked:
You could look through the dresses yourself.
    Pretty, natural lighted salon.
    Location was convenient (RT. 17)

    What I disliked:
My sales person was not very experienced or knowledgable.
They didn't really have many choices in the style I wanted (I'm a lace girl).
Some dresses felt cheap (too much bedazzlement).
Assortment of styles and types of dresses was  limited.

I purchased my gown at a salon in Long Island, go figure.  My sales person was AMAZING there.  Why?  She listened very closely to what I said about each dress and then brought me additional dresses that fit  the description of what I said the last dress lacked.  She also had an incredible knowledge of her inventory and brought what she thought worked for my body and what style I said I was leaning towards.  Bijou did nothing like this.

I got my dress from there and I had a good experience.  I actually loved the dress so much, I forgot to ask who the designer was when I purchased it!  It wouldn't have mattered to me anyway at that point.  I found out  the designer name at my first fitting.

I got my dress there, and they were very helpful. As far as the bridesmaids, I found that Nonchalance had the same dress and it was $40 less, so I went there. I did ask Bijou if they can match Nonchalance's price, just so I can have everything done at one place, but they said no. Good Luck!
