When should a timeline be sent?

My fiance and I are in a friend's wedding this weekend. This couple hasn't provided us with a timeline or schedule of when we need to arrive or any plans. We know the wedding is on Saturday @ sometime we don't know, and that there is some sort of after party but no idea what time that is.
A few months ago they asked us to arrive on Thursday morning, and we're not sure why. We know the other bridesmaids and groomsmen were asked to arrive Friday morning.  They haven't really told us anything in the past month other then an email asking my fiance, the best man, to order all ties for the groom and groomsmen.

We've been triyng to get a hold of them, but I had a death in the family this month and things have been crazy with that I've rarely been in town. . I haven't been able to get my dress altered, and I'm trying to find out if it'll be okay, and what we need to be there for.

So far we know:
Asked to arrive on Thursday morning
Rehersal on Friday
Wedding/Reception on Saturday
Afterparty Saturday night
A Twilight movie watching event (Bride is requiring all bridesmaids to attend)

Re: When should a timeline be sent?

  • Well, they should have sent an invitation which would tell you the time of the wedding.  RD invites are usually sent 2 - 3 weeks before, but we emailed everybody with rehearsal details before we booked the restaurant for the dinner.

  • Did you get an invitation to the wedding?

Have you called her? Emailed her? Texted her?

  • Apparently, people forget to do this? FI was in a wedding 2 weekends ago and he didn't find out the details until Thursday for a Saturday wedding.

  • I know she did invitations and they said 4pm, but about 6 weeks ago she talked about moving it back 2 hours so it would be at sunset.

We have been trying to im them as that's normally the best way. We've even tweeted at them, and have been ignored.  My fiance is much closer to the couple then I am. I think I'm the bridesmaid to even it out.So he's been trying to get into contact with them more then I have.

We got no rehersal dinner invites. They were going to cook hot dogs at the lodge they've rented as their venue.
  • One of you needs to pick up the phone and call one of them, or failing that, contact the MOH or best man.
  • My fiance is the Best Man, and he knows nothing and we don't know the maid of honor...we finally got ahold of the bride..and she doesn't know the schedule, and she's okay with that.

  • I veto the bride requiring the bridesmaids to watch Twilight. Who the F does that? And I even like Twilight!
  • Our wedding is this weekend and we don't have our entire timeline set down, but we have the major stuff done.  The bridal party knows what times they are supposed to be at places.
