I Need Some Flower Help

You'd think I'd have an idea since I've done so many weddings, but I don't.

I want dried lavender for my flowers. I think they're gorgeous and it's my favorite scent. I don't want to go overboard though, for those with any kind of allergies. Also, my middle name is Rose and roses are kinda my mom's and my "thing". When I told her I wasn't doing roses, she seemed a bit disappointed. Has anyone ever seen a mixed bouquet of roses, gerbs, and dried lavender? Or even any mix bouquets with lavender? I'm having trouble searching online.

Our colors are chocolate and ivory, with the lavender accents (and stem color "sage" I've been calling it) I do NOT want lavender roses. If I did any roses, they would either be ivory or the green color.

It's a good thing I have a few months to decide! I don't have to book a florist, I'm so lucky in that dept. My MOH is my old boss, and she still works at the floral shop.

I don't like roses either, but my florist convinced me that garden and cabbage roses don't look like regular icky roses. That being said, it is hard to find what you are looking for online! This is the closest I could find was this.......

Have you thought of doing a mix of gerbs in your wedding colors with the dried lavender, then just adding two "special" cabbage roses in cream or green ... representing one for you & one for your mom? The cabbage rose is usually a little bigger flower so it doesn't take many to make a statement. that way it is soething special for just you and your mom.

I don't have a picture so duno if I'll be any help but I think a bunch of different types of flowers in the same color family look really cool so you can try to do something like that. Also, if you really don't want roses, what if you give your mom a small bouquet of roses for her to carry so you are still honoring that BUT get what you want too. And/or have you thought of doing a rose ceremony? See the link below for an explanation of a few variations of that

I love the looked of a textured bouquet as well (lots of different flowers) I guess I'll just meet with my MOH and go over some things when I'm home next month.
