My favorite WEDDING PLANNER is...

Sorry for the delay in the 'my favorite' game. As many of you know, we hosted an intimate family reception for mr.owl's sister and her new hubby this weekend. it's been sucking up all my free time.

since I ended up coordinating her wedding, i can definitely see how valuable having a DOC or wedding planner could be.

So have at it.

My favorite WEDDING PLANNER/DAY OF COORDINATOR is...

be sure to include prices and contact info if you can!

    Myself?!?  Hahaha.
We have an Event Coordinator that comes with our venue, her name is Lori Green at The Ohio State University. She's been pretty greatwith helping us out with things, but she isn't a full blown planner.

Take it from someone who has had bad luck with wedding planners and good luck with the current one, a good wedding coordinator is worth her (his) weight in gold.

After a rocky start, and letting the first planner go, I found Heather Hanselmann from everyeventelegant.  She has really gone over and above for me.  Even though the wedding is still 60 days away, I feel that she has earned the total of the contracted price.  She has lots of different packages which are on her website but I think they start at around $600 for DOC and go all the way up to the hands off bride approach. She is waaay more talented than she gives herself credit for (she made my wedding party flowers and they are fantastic).

The decision to include this service in my budget was one of the best I made during this nearly 18 month planning process.  I hope this isn't overly promotional, I was planning to wait to review all my vendors after May 21 but the OP's prompt made me feel it was my "civic duty" to report my positive experience with Heather.

    Emilie Duncan, hands down :)

I have not had a single stressful moment in the entire wedding process due to her. There was a problem with our invitations (FMIL decided she wanted added after we had ordered), but Emilie helped me through each step of that problem with ease. She has made every single step easy and fun, and she really took the time to "get" my image of the perfect wedding.

Her packages run up to $6k (i think), but it depends on how much you want to spend. We spent around half that for 30 hours of wedding planning, which includes day of coordinating all day. I definitely am glad I made cuts in other areas to make this possible. Well worth it!

I'm with hcantrell here... Heather is amazing.

if you are even thinking about having a planner, at least call and talk to her.  She's super down-to-earth and tells you her honest opinion.  On top of that, she definitely does a LOT more than her packages offer.  I think paying for her service is going to prove to be the best purchase in our planning.  She has fantastic vision and great ideas and totally understands what you want and more than that, anticipates needs VERY well.

I didn't know where to start with planning... and I've been super stressed... without her I would have nothing done and probably a bleeding ulcer or a straight jacket haha

Yeah... too much? oh well haha

    Call Heather ;p
