Re: Can i wear two garters?

  • ... i don't think anyone would actually keep the garter that you toss.  what would they do with it?

  • I am wearing two garters.  I have one my MOH gave me with a charm on it of where FI proposed and then I have a set that goes better with my color scheme.  It came with a toss so I will put the two keeps on while I am getting ready and then put the toss on right before hand!
  • Many garters come in a set of two, so you can keep one and toss the other.

  • Since garters were orginally used to hold up your hose, of course you can wear two! Just make sure your FI knows which one he's tossing to the mob!
  • I say go for it. and yes the guys do take those tossed garters. the sets usually come with a keep one and a toss one. just know which one is where for the hubby to toss!!
  • Yes Yes Yes! Save one for later and he'll be surprised!

  • I'm wearing two, possibly three!  Haha, this is because I am getting married in Spain and the tradition here is for the man to cut the garter into pieces and sell them to men at the dinner.  But I also want to do the traditional American thing and throw it.  So I am wearing at least two, and I might wear a third one so we have more garter to cut up and sell. :)

nothing wrong with it at all!  Besides not many people will be paying attention to that specific detail.
  • Usually garters come in sets of two - tosser and keeper - for exactly this reason.

  • Lots of people wear a toss garter as well as a keepsake garter.  I'm not sure what I'm doing yet.  My mother kept her garter from her wedding, and she wants me to wear it, so I might end up doing that (if she can find it, I've asked her to look for it several times and she keeps saying "maybe later", lol), but I'd like to get something a little more fun for the toss garter.  Maybe something with the Red Sox logo on it, since FI is a Sox fan.
