So I am an avid "Hurricane Hunter/Storm Chaser." It's what my H and and his family call me at least. This may sound odd, but I LOVE tracking The Tropics! And with that comes my yearly lecture on being prepared. (Which I will NOT spew out onto here, you ladies do not deserve that! LOL)
Let's just say we had a Cat. 2 is predicted to make landfall in your county. Would you throw a Hurricane Party? Board up and leave? Board up and hunker down? More importantly, would you be ready? Do you have cash on hand incase there is no power for credit cards and ATMs? Extra gas? Extra food and water? Do you have a Pet-Plan? A way of getting in touch with family members to let them know you're okay should cell towers go down/battery dies?
Sorry I'm so the-world-is-going-to-end about all this, but that's just me. I like to be prepared.
