Tattoo help PLEASE!

Hello ladies!  I am struggling to figure out how to cover up a tattoo on my back. I am wearing a beautiful strapless gown and my hair is long will be down but I have a tattoo right between my shoulder blades that WILL NOT flow very well with my elegant wedding theme!  Don't get me wrong, I love my tattoo and have had it for a couple of years, but I just can't get past the whole 'walking down the aisle with a flower tattoo peaking out from behind my hair' thing. I have heard of kits that I could buy, but I'm terrified that it will look off color or not completely cover it. A moment of rebellion when I was alittle younger is causing a mini breakdown for me now! LOL  PLEASE HELP!

Go to sephora! I use amazing cosmetics concealer for my face, but it is probably strong enough to cover your tatoo. I would wait until you are the color you will be at you wedding(if you will tan) there are many many colors and you  can try them all there. I think that kat von dee also makes a tattoo covering concealer and they sell her brand there also. They will be more than willing to help you find the perfect color match. They helped me when my face broke out from wedding stress!

I'm absolutely no help here but I did a google search and found some products online.  I'm not sure how well they work.

Whatever you choose though, I would have a trial with it before your wedding day and make sure that your tattoo is covered to your satisfaction.

Also, are you wearing a veil?  You could choose a fuller veil so that you can see less of your back.  If you can slightly see the tattoo through make-up, you likely wouldn't notice under the veil.

CoCo's Mommy ~ Thank you! Sephora! Duh! I completely forgot about that store! And I had no idea Kat Von Dee had a tattoo concealer out! I am going there tomorrow! lol
cschuma2 ~ I am so scared to buy anything from an online source only because I have sensitive skin. And knowing my luck I would have a crazy awful reaction to it! lol But I am wearing a veil so I agree that even if it doesn't fully cover it, it will be so well hidden by the veil and my hair.    Ladies, thank you very much for the advice and suggestion! I really appreciate it!!

Maybe you could consider getting a few hair extension put in just in at the base of your hair to make it fuller and help to cover up the area.  My friends just got married in January and her hair was only shoulder length.  She went to Sallys and bought a package of extentions.  It was hair that hung down from a really long line.  She cute it into sections and sewed it onto a clip and the stylist just clipped it in and it made a huge difference in the length of her hair, held curls really well, and she looked amazing.  It sounds weird but it was gorgeous.

I know that davd's bridal sell some cover up for tattoos.  My mom has a tattoo on her bicep, she hates it now and wants it covered up at my wedding.  The consultant there said that the kit worked really well on white people but that the kit for black people did not work well at all.

CoCo's Mommy~ I will definitely let you know how it works! I'm going to do a little experimenting with it this weekend. Fingers crossed!! And Castillo2B~ I have purposely not had my hair cut for just that reason! lol My hair is about 3 inches below my bra line now. I desperately need a trim but I'm so scared that she'll cut it too short and my plan will be foiled! haha I think you have a great idea, though! It will add some fullness to my hair and I'm going for that full wavy look. Well right now I am. lol
bballgirl8789~ I will take a look at that kit at Davids. My tattoo, although beautiful, has a lot of bright, vivd colors. So I may try a couple different things. Kat Von Dee and davids are the two I will try. I'll let you know how it looks and if it's natural or not. Ladies, you are awesome and thank you for the great suggestions!! Smile

Ugh, so it is going to cost sooooo much money to buy all of the things I would need to do this. Kat's makeup requires a 4 step process, each step having it's own makeup that I would need to buy. All I see are dollar signs. lol I am going to call around to some salons that do makeup and see if they can do it and how much it would cost. That tattoo is in the middle of my back so outlining with Kat's little pen isn't going to work for me. I could have someone do it, but again with the expense of buying all of the different things. Not worth it to me. Very disappointed!!!!
