Totowa, NJ David Bridal

Happy Sunday!
The new David Bridal in Totowa,NJ on Rt 46 east is open and it is wonderful.  I had an amazing experience there on Saturday morning.
The women were very fun, relaxed and generally concerned in getting every bride taken care of.  There are some new faces, but a large portion of the staff are the people from the old DB.
If you are thinking of going to DB and are in the North Jersey area, I would make an appointment there first.
Be wary though, the women were telling me that it is extremely crazy on Sat & Sun between 1-5.  I went as soon as they opened (10am) and it was only me and 4 other brides.

  • I was there about two weeks ago and although I did not ultimtely choose and buy a David's Bridal gown, I had a very nice experience there.

The store is new, clean and large and segmented to all various wedding categories.  There were many dresses to try on, with all extremely reasonable prices.

My associate, Bri, was very helpful as well.  My appointment was at 10 am on a Saturday and there was one other bride, a bridesmaid and a flower girl.  I would definitely recommend going there.

Yes, it is on Rt. 46E.  How did you get the old number?  Because I didnt even see it on the site.

Also, Rt. 46 is a mess for GPS.  When you type in the address, it takes you to the area where 46 splits into Rt. 46 & Rt. 3.  Please be aware of this.

  • I went to David's Bridal in Totowa today and will NEVER go back.  I had a HORRIBLE experience.  I walked for my appointment and was given a catelogue to look through.  When the consultant was ready, she asked me what I liked out of the book.  I showed her one or two gowns I thought were pretty and she pulled them for me.  While I tried them on she acted totally uninterested.  She didn't help pull the trains out so I could see them, didn't discuss how the dresses could be bustled, etc.  In fact, she barely even spoke to me.  After I tried on the dresses I had pointed out in the magazine, she asked if there were any others in the magazine I wanted to look at.  I said no, but asked if they had any that were strapless and had a textured top.  She told me that there were very few like they and they probably didn't have any that I would like.  She didn't try to suggest other similar styles or anything.  She acted like she just wasn't interested in helping me at all.  While experiencing this uninterested saleswoman, there was also another issue.  A group of loud, obnoxius girls walked in to try in gowns.  The whole time, they were LOUDLY making fun of other brides trying on gowns and making the whole atmosphere very uncomfortable.  None of the sales people said a word to them.  This was not joking in good fun.  As an example, after one bride went back inside the changing room, the group loudly suggested that she had a stick up her butt that would need to be removed before she tried on her next dress.  Seriously?  Are we not adults?  Between the unhelpful saleswoman and the ridiculous patrons who were not reigned in my the staff, I'm happy to never set foot in that store again.  It was a terrible experience.  I ultimately found my dress at Nordstroms in Paramus.  The people there couldn't have been more helpful!
  • I had a wonderful experience at David's. My appointment was at 11:30, and it was just me and one other bride. I loved my saleswoman, though her name escapes me. I found my gown there, and couldn't be happier. I did hear that you should not use them for your alterations though.
