Share your CHEAPEST florist!

For those who have already been quoted by florists... could you share the cheapest florist that you have found?  Also include estimated price that they quoted you, type of flowers ordered, and quantity of flowers (bouquets, coursages, centerpieces, etc.).

This is helpful information for those of us who are trying to work out wedding budgets for affordable weddings.

Thanks!

Since I'm planning on a silk boquet for myself and my bridal party (might as well have something beautiful you can keep, right?) I've been looking at some people who make wonderful (not tacky looking) artifical arrangements.

The one I'm going with is http://www.etsy.com/shop/MyFavorsandFlowers

http://www.etsy.com/shop/modagefloral is also great too, but she quoted me at over 2x the price the other lady did. If you want to know exact prices, send me a PM!

thatg33kgirl - I contacted Modage Floral too on etsy and although I love her designs, she is expensive.  Did you work within My Favors and Flowers existing designs or did she custom create something for you?

We used Oasis for our wedding - they were cheaper than a lot of other well known florists, we were happy with the turnout.  You might want to call and ask them if they have any deals going on.

    Its offical...I am married!!

I am using The Flowerman in Centerville, Ohio. I am buying bulk to arrange myself, but they provide the supplies, a class, space to arrange the flowers, cooler space to keep the flowers till the wedding. For 3 bridesmaid bouquets, 2 bridal bouquets, 7 boutonnieres, and 14 centerpieces it will be $200-250. They also will design and arrange flowers for you at a higher cost, but I hear it is still on the lower end of the price range for the region.

If they design and arrange the flowers, will they also deliver to church and/or reception?

I have heard of The Flowerman and considered them.  I opted not to go this route because some brides shared that although I would save, there's more stress involved.  You should be ok with your house being filled with water buckets and folliage.  And you should practice arranging them outside of class.  And, above all, you should leave most of this work to friends and family because you don't have time to store and deliver them to your sites.

If you want to leave it all to the pros, I can't stop saying good things about Susan Foy The Wedding Designer.  The price she charges for labor is very minimal so it turned out slightly more than The Flowerman.  She works with any budget and gives you a lot for your money.  I was especially impressed with her knowledge.  She knows which flowers need extra hydration and deserves a water foam, which ones may bleed onto my dress or the cake, which one may require extra ordering in case of wilting, and so on.  That set her apart among other budget florists.

The Flowerman will deliver for a minimal fee. I only opted out because my wedding is up the block from their store and my "co-designer" will pick them up on the day of. And yes you should definitely practice before the big day to see what you want. I made a lot of samples and took pictures. You Do Not have to do the flowers in your own home though. Using their workspace is included in the price.
