Is there a counseling discount for marriage license?

Hi NC knottties!

I read somewhere that there is a discount on the marriage license if you've had marriage counseling. Is this true? If so, where can I find more info?

    I haven't heard of this. I just got married and got my marriage license 2 days before the wedding. There weren't any discounts offered in Harnett County. I can't imagine any government office offering discoutnts but I guess it's possible. Call your local county's Register of Deeds office to find out.

    I have NEVER heard of this before. However, go ahead and call the Registrar of Deeds office and check.

    This is true in some states, but not in NC.
