Secrets Cancun

Just wondering if anyone's been to any of the secrets resorts in Cancun. We are looking at Secrets: The Vine.We really want to do something that's adults only and all inclusive.

Re: Secrets Cancun

  • Msaputra just posted about her stay there in her blog! http://darcela.blogspot.com/ I also like the Excellence brand.

  • We just booked our anniversary trip there on Tuesday!  Can't wait!

We also looked at Secrets Maroma.

I've been to Secrets Maroma and Secrets Silversands. They are all AI and adults only so it really depends on the vibe you want and the price point you are trying to hit. They are all somewhat similar in cost, but I do know that The Vine and Maroma tend to be more expensive than the others unless there is a promo.

  • We honeymooned at Secrets The Vine, and loved it.  The place was brand new when we went, and everyone was super accomodating and great.  The rooms were gorgeous, the people friendly.  The food was tasty, drinks were plentiful too.  The resort is also very centrally located on the hotel strip.  We took the bus to local ruins and the mall, easy and cheap.  They also have a company on the first floor that you can book excursions through.  We found their prices to be the same or better than booking at the kiosks across the way in the shopping district.

  • My fiance and I visited the Secrets Silversands in November 2011. It was pretty nice but if I were to go back I'd try another resort. The beach was pretty bad and there was a gross smell around the guestrooms. Also the faucets and everything metal in the bathrooms were eroding because of the salt. I guess that's normal for the area though. On the plus side, the pool, drinks, and hibachi restaurant were fabulous!
