David's Bridal in Castleton

Ladies! I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this DB location.

I bought my dress in January, and after medical issues causing me to lose weight, my dress was FAR too big on me. I walked in today, explained my situation while stifling tears, and the consultant calmly told me that there would be no issue at all exchanging it for a smaller size. The entire staff seemed more than happy to help me, in fact they seemed as if their passion was all about making sure my day was perfect.

Jessica, the consultant, was amazing. So sweet and wonderful.

Angel, the alterations specialist, was so excited to get me into a dress that fits me.

The manager, I believe her name was Pam? Was also mroe than willing to help me.

I highly recommend asking for Jessica if you plan to go there. She is suuuuch a sweetie. (Comforted me as I cried.... I'm pathetic.) They both, Angel and Jess, clearly love their jobs and want to help in anyway they can.

I highly recommend them!!

P.S. Angel will be doing my alterations!

I second your feelings on Jessica! She helped me find my dress a few months back and was super nice to me and my family. I was so nervous to begin the process and she calmed me down and pointed me in the right direction. Highly recommend!

Thank you for this post! I went dress shopping for the first time ever on Saturday. My first stop was Brides by Demetrios in the morning, and I was impressed with their customer service.

However, I didn't really feel the same when I stepped into this David's Bridal location later that afternoon. It was very crowded and I wasn't greeted immediately. On top of it all, I ended up with a consultant whose first day happened to be the day that I came in to look for a dress... I had read bad things about David's Bridal in general. The book "Bridal Bargains" by Denise and Alan Fields is quite brutal on them! However, I was patient with my consultant and I found a Gallina Signature dress that I absolutely love at David's Bridal in Castleton!!! I will be returning on this weekend to place my dress on lay-away for my August 4th wedding! Smile I would like to use them for alterations. Please keep me updated on how your experiences go with them!

I had to consultants help me because the one that was helping me had another bride to help with. Thankfully Jessica jumped in and helped me get in and out of THE dress that the other bride tried on and had hated it.  That day we got my dress, veil, a flower and crystal hair clip for the reception, and slip. Closer to the wedding I will pick up the fur muff and white satin and fur cape since we are having a Christmas themed wedding!!
  • I loved the Lafayette DB but all the others were horrible (greenwood, castleton) I suggest Kristy's Trends in Greenfield. They have tons of gowns and a 6 month Layaway with only 25% down.

  • I had a few good experiences at DB but ended up making my final choice with Jessica as the cocnsultant, she was very patient and helpful, she also went the extra mile to get alterations to come talk to me to explain what could be done for the dress and give me estimates for the alterations I needed!
  • I am getting it altered there! I am super lucky and only need my sleeves shortened, my dress hemmed and adding a bustle. I didn't shop around for prices since it was pretty minor.
