I pulled off a DIY project! (Pics)

and am inordinately proud of myself about it, so I thought I would share!

I made a unity candle set (3 mismatched candle holders, all painted the same gold), and an officient book! (It started out as a history book, but I painted it to look fancy). A friend of ours will be officiating, and she can paste her notes/plans into it, along with any and all readings we'll use. That way everyone can have their notes, but it won't look disorganized.

Here they are together on my bookshelf!

Aww - cute! I started a list of things I want to DIY. I think I'll start with a sort of modified monogram. My first name, his first name, and his last name all start with the same letter, so I need a creative way of making that not look totally ridic.

no stencil, but I draw that design all the time if I'm just absentmindedly doodling, so I had a lot of practice!
