Awesome day today (PIP)!!

To begin with, I got a really great hair cut.  I only intended to get it trimmed one last time before my hair trial, but I got talking to the girl that was doing my hair and she suggested some things that will make it easier to have the hairstyle I want for the wedding.  Anyway, I ended up with probably the best hair cut I've ever had and still kept the length!

Then I get home and find out my earrings for the wedding were delivered.  I was so excited to finally try them on.  Now I just need to get to Kohls and pick up the small stud set (silver, cz, pearl) for my other holes.

And finally, my BodyBugg came!  I joined 24 Hour Fitness in February and they have a new member rewards program in which you do things in the first 6 months(like 100 visits, work out with a friend, do a fitness orientation) and get virtual "medals".  You can redeem the "medals" for various rewards.  The highest number you can achieve is 24 (of course) and in that reward category is a free BodyBugg!!  I worked so hard to get those 100 visits in, the rest of the stuff was easy.  I'm not going to start yet, but as soon as the wedding is over, I can't wait to try it out!

The bodybugg is what they use on The Biggest Loser.  You wear it on your arm and it helps you track your calorie burn.  Then you track the calories you're eating and it helps you to figure out the deficit you need to lose weight.  I'm so excited to try it out!  This is from the website:

The bodybugg system uses a patented process to measure calorie burn.
    The process is based on:
    • Motion: The armband contains an accelerometer that measures motion from multiple perspectives.
    • Steps: The accelerometer counts steps by measuring the distinct patterns created by running or walking.
    • Galvanic skin response: When you sweat, your skin becomes more electrically conductive. This measurement helps the device understand how active you are.
    • Skin temperature: There’s an electronic thermometer inside your armband that monitors how hot you are.
    • Heat flux: When you move, your muscles produce heat. Your armband measures the heat that’s flowing from your body into the environment.

And Duffy, I went to the David Alexander Salon in Annapolis.  The stylist I had was Courtney, and she was awesome.  She's actually getting married on the 25th so I really trusted her when she said she thought it would be best to cut my hair more than just the trim I wanted.  She listened to what I'd be having done for the wedding and told me what would work best for it to be styled that way.  I definitely plan on going back to her after the wedding.  She does wedding hair, and if I were getting married down here I would absolutely use her!

Where did you get your earrings?  Etsy?  They are really pretty- elegant is the first word that came to mind when I saw them.

The earrings I got from Ebay.  Originally, I wanted big, vintage style chandelier earrings.  I found a pair that I really liked but then there was this whole back order story with the manufacturer and I just couldn't chance waiting any longer!  So I found these on Ebay.  They still had the same feel I wanted with the others, but I thought they were different.

My dress has a lot of beautiful beading at the top, so I don't plan on wearing a necklace.  Also, because of the lace, I'm afraid to wear a bracelet.  So I wanted to go big with my earrings!

You could do a pearl bracelet to match the earrings.  If it's stretchy, you should be fine :)

My suggestion, if you do want to do a bracelet but are afraid to do one, is go to Sparkles on Kirkwood Highway (next to Outback Steak House).  It's a bead shop (an upscale one), but they also create jewelry for you if you can't do it or don't know how.  Before I got into making my own, they made me 3 different links for my medical ID bracelet that were gorgeous.

If you go there and explain your situation, I am sure they have the tools to make you something that is affordable and won't snag your dress (ie, they would soder the jump rings shut, so there is no change of it snagging on your dress...that kind of stuff).

    Just a thought!
