DJ suggestions needed

Anyone have any suggestions on a low-key DJ for a Sunday afternoon wedding? The wedding will be at the Gramercy Mansion, so the space is not huge, not a large dance floor.  We are a "mature" couple, we want to do a first dance and have some background music during dinner and then some dancing music afterwards.  However, our the average age of the attendees is probably around 55.  We are seeking a quiet DJ who is not obnoxious (no line dancing, no extra talking, etc).  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sharon

Absolute Entertainment has a bunch of DJs that you could choose from.  They are bound to have someone that would fit your needs exactly and more importantly, your budget.  We used Jason Wallace - who we loved!!  I would highly recommend him.

Have you looked into bands at all?  We are using Mood Swings Big Band, and their playlist is definitely on the mature end (although we've heard they really get the crowd up and dancing, and really cater to the guests at the event).  They're more expensive than DJ's, though, which is a major draw back in my opinion.  I actually think we should have gotten a DJ.

That being said, some other great bands are Powerhouse, Radiant, and Hero.

Ditto smange, your DJ will be able to cater to your needs, no matter what.  You'll have to create a "do NOT play" and a "must play" list, which is always helpful.

I used JD the DJ and he did an excellent job.  His prices are also really reasonable.

We had are final meeting with him last night and it just confirmed that we made an excellent choice.
