Welcome to the Vegas board, ask questions anytime, I couldn't have planned anything without this board!

Welcome!  Better hurry up on at least the venue and photographer if you're expecting more than 30 or 40 people and you're only 9 months away; things in Vegas book early at the larger venues, and many of the good photographers book 12 or even 14 months in advance.

Oh my goodness, thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone.
VegasGroom you've officially scared me, i'm all anxious now about getting started with planning.

After stalking...i mean... looking at some of the info and bios here already I think we'd like to do an insuite reception, but not sure which one...I guess I'll get on the ball with finding a venue and photographer asap.

    Thanks

I'm sure u will find that the popular insuites are Vista Suite @ MB, Terrace suite @ MGM, and there are a couple in Planet Hollywood.

Do you have a date yet? Some dates are more popular than others. Saturdays are obviously the most popular. Of course lots of ppl get married in Vegas, but there are lots of vendors to go around. The ones recommended here do get picked earlier, but remember we use a fraction of the vendors available.

    Hey Dani

Welcome and I will ditto what others have said.  I would suggest stalking here a bit and get the jist what others are saying good and bad about vendors before you decide.  Good luck!! We are here to help in any way!

    Thanks guys.

I got all excited and called about venues and catering.
Sadly there's no vista suite available on my date, but the terrace suite is.  I have to hunt for pix of ceremonies at the terrazza.  I loved the look of the ceremonies at the waterfall at mandalay bay but since no vista available I'll have to look elsewhere.

Spoke to Scott at masterpiece and awaiting a proposal.  Haven't even begun looking at photographers yet.  ::gulp::  this feels so real alluvasudden!

Just remember to try and have fun along the way, it can be stressful if you let it be. :)

Hi - welcome and congrats.  I heard there was a Bridal show coming to town in August, I believe...when I hear more about it, I'll post the info - a lot of times the show's website will have links to all or most of the vendors that will be there.

Welcome!  Sometimes your WC can get you the Vista Suite, something to look into if you decide you like MB.

Here is the bridal show info, there is another one at Green Valley Ranch in Sept also

Welcome and congrats!  Planning will go in bits and pieces, don't be surprised if you book large things up front and then go months withouth booking anything.  Make sure you call and talk to vendors, if you can, to see if they match with you and your ideas about your wedding.

Welcome!! I'm close to a spring bring (Feb 12th)
This is the most amazing resource a bride could ever dream of!!!

You all are SO right.  This is an awesome resource.  I've learned so much in one freakin day! I feel like I have a great idea of what my wedding will be now.

I'm anxious about booking the suite and catering so far out but once I do I know I'll do a big exhale and feel a lot better.

I'm late to the party but wanted to say welcome!  Also until I got down to mhoneybee's post I was going to say the same thing!  Once you get your big things booked you won't need to do much more on the Vegas end of your wedding until starting about a month out!  Don't get too scared, we were able to book our ceremony location 8 months out, we booked Deacon Tyler like 6 months out and we booked Trevi for our reception dinner like 1.5 months out, so it can be done, but you may have to alter your plans a little if you do wait much longer!  Good luck with all your planning!
