March & May '12 wrap up

Took me a while to get this stuff posted but I finally put together a post about our experiences in March:

Funny addition I made to that page are some pics I took in 2006 of the Augustus Tower room and its view; at the time there was no Wynn, Encore or Palazzo; it's amazing to see current versus just six years ago.  Wish I had the other direction too with no PH and Cosmo.

Going back for six nights in about three weeks, staying at Golden Nugget for the first time, so plenty more reviews and mishaps should be coming.

    Lol I'm near Ontario so driving to Vegas cuts off a couple of hours from San Diego and we drive all the time and it usually takes us about 3.5 hours but only stop in Baker. But we drive to AZ all the time and that takes about 6 hours so we're just used to it by now.

    Oooh I really like that rainfall shower head in the Forum Tower bathrooms lol. I emailed my coordinator and asked her to switch us to the Agustus tower mainly because it's closer to the Wedding Salons and it feels a little more private.

    Which tower did you like more? They both look really nice. :)

    I'd like to stay in a suite so my mom is going to try and get one through her total rewards at a discount and if she does I think she'll let us stay in the suite while she stays in what would be our room lol.

    You did Vegas to San Diego in 3.5 hours?!?!  Even google maps puts it at 300+ miles. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif" border="0" alt="Surprised" title="Surprised" />

    Unfortunately I haven't been in the Augustus tower in six years, so assuming it has not been remodeled or mattresses, etc. swapped out, I'd say stick to forum tower, but if it has, and I have no way of knowing if it has, it definitely has incredible beds.  I prefer modern/contemporary decoration so from a look and feel standpoint I prefer forum tower.
