Maui Hotels

Hey girls, FI and I are getting in a day before our families. We need a hotel just for one night and then we rented out a house for everyone. I know I've heard Maui Coast Hotel a lot, but are they any others? I need it on the cheaper end because we really won't be there at all but to sleep.

We're flying into OGG...and it really doesn't matter where we stay for this night. Any recs? TIA

I think Days Inn is pretty cheap. Their travel reviews aren't very positive, but it's the option that I've been recommending to folks on a budget. HTH!

Yeah, trip advisor says it's the cheapest hotel on the beach.

My FI and I have been on the same hunt - we're flying in the day before everyone else as well and want to stay close to Kahalui so we can do the big Costco run the next day. Maui Coast is the best deal by far from what we've been able to find.

Our first night (12/29/10) in Maui we stayed at Maui Seaside Hotel. It's really close to the airport and we got in a little late and didn't want to drive to the other side of the island at night.

It wasn't amazing but it was clean, easy to get to and had a great view in the morning. Also, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

We read reviews and the most recent reviews had been positive (after new management took over). I would say it's a good "need a clean, safe place to stay" hotel.
