I guess you mean tricks for the wedding?  If you can post more about what's already done, what your venue, is that would help.  But here are a few thoughts:
Sam's for flowers - you can pre-order the kind you want and do your own centerpieces, way cheaper than a florist.

Kinko's (or similar) for programs - these end up on the pews, the floor, in the trash, and there is NO reason, to me, to pay much for them.  Type it up, take the file to a printer, and print them on whatever paper you like.

We did a "hosted" bar - this means we bought the alcohol and they served it; when it's gone, it's gone - for us, and the quantity we purchased/figured people would drink, this was a lot cheaper than doing a total open bar where you pay per person, whether they drink or not.

We also didn't do favors - we had cookies, but didn't bother to package them or anything.  Favors are another thing that I think people don't really need and often I've been to weddings where at the end of the night TONs of favors are left b/c no one took them - save your money.

When you're talking to vendors - photographers, bakeries, djs', whatever, and they try to sell you a package, see if you actually WANT everything in the package and if not, break it down and see what discount you get for not using everything.  Our photog did stuff ala carte, so we didn't get stuck paying for bridal, engagement pics, and we didn't use the extras the dj offered, like lighting, dance floor monogram, etc.

    Good luck!

We already have a venue and we are doing the reception there also.

Definitely hit up the Trash to Treasure board. I have found my and my BM's bouquets, jewelry and other stuff for cheap. I also practically live on orientaltrading.com and Hobby Lobby for a lot of wedding stuff. You can also make your own invitations and programs (the same way pp said) and I know some girls who have made their own aisle runners. GL!

Or, if you're willing to wait a couple of weeks I'll be ready to unload some stuff as well :)
