6/9/12- Do I have a date twin?

Are there any other knotties who are getting married 6/9/12? Have you all started planning? Even though the date is a year and some change away I feel as if I'm lagging because me and my FI have done nothing. He's in the Navy and I'm a full time doc student so this is going be hard to plan..plus we're getting married in VA and live in IL!! Only thing we've set so far is our budget, picked colors, and we know we want a beach wedding...I feel so behind

I am not exactly a date twin. The venue we really would like can not give us a date until Fall 2011 so we don't have a firm date set. I have not started planning at all. With the exceptions of ideas and thoughts in my head I have done nothing.

I have so many ideas too. I've looked at so many venues online and made phone calls and all but I'm not going be able to go look at anything till March

I'm not your date twin BUT I'm also a full time PhD student

I think I've seen you on the students board.

I try to get things done in certain time frames and its working so far... but balancing my already lacking focus on school with fun wedding things is difficult.

I MIGHT be your date twin. We've found the venue we want, but we can't book it until June 1, 2011. Other than finding a venue and picking out colors I haven't done much. I'm also a student but I'm still working on my undergraduate.

I believe I've seen you there too. My bff is getting married in Sept 2012 and she is always telling me fun wedding things she's doing and I lose all focus on what I'm suppose to be doing lol...what are you getting your PhD in?

Two girls in my lab got married this summer, it was wedding central. Its died down now, which is nice. Only now I get a lot of unsolicited advice.

Gotta love people. Getting advice is great when you need it, and can be somewhat useful even when you don't ask for it, but my opinion is that unless I ask, don't offer!

Biochemistry...cool field. I'm getting my PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling. Me and my classmate talk about bridal shows in almost every class and she gives me a lot of advice about things she's also having her wedding in another state so she tells me what a headache that can be

I'm a date twin! We're getting married 6/9/12 around 2:00 in Lancaster, PA! So exicted-we booked our ceremony and reception venue, along with our DJ. We met with a photographer we like last night but will probably book her after Christmas.

Im a date twin and major twin I guess. I am not getting my doctorate though... finishing up my undergrad in BIochemistry..

I have done tons.. but I just think its cuz I'm a little ahead than what I am suppose to be.

My theme/colors=peacock feathers. Focusing on the teal and purple with lime green and silver accent colors... (In my head it looks really ugly but in person it is breathtaking!)

Budget set

Bridal party-set but not asked.

Venue, photographer and catering signed. paying deposits with venue and catering. This is by far the best part of planning early! Since the wedding is "so far away" (I hate those words..) we don't have to pay the entire deposit at once. All my vendors have broken up our deposit into monthly payments. We have 3 months to pay our venue deposit. Our caterer just told us as long as you send $$ every month and have it paid off within a year of the contract we are good! Our photographer was biweekly payments.

Invites and STDs-researched just not yet ordered..lol

Dress-I have chosen my top three gowns within my budget so hopefully I look amazing in them. My top choice designer is Alfred Angelo. My bm dresses are from there too.

Ummm... I think that's it.. My MOH lives in another country (Puerto Rico) so when she comes over to FL she complains she is not going to have anything to do!

Date twin here! Although I'm doing my masters with the (very high) hopes of entering a DVM program by next fall(THIS ONE PLEASETOJESUS)/fall after.

We are having the wedding in Connecticut and I am currently in NC (Go Wolfpack!!).

My undergrad was in Bio (should of taken that one class to minor Chem), I love Biochemistry.. heck I love all things Science.

Don't feel behind, focus on school! The wedding will come into place, while if you don't study your grades wont. Of course the wedding planning is a nice distraction from studying for school (or writing term papers!!! :-( )

I've got my venue booked, and the church. I don't have an actual budget set, but I know that I can't fly off the handle.

For colors.. we might have our colors picked, but I don't know I am extremely indecisive and easily persuaded. I also want to be semi-original.

My bridal party is.. well.. non-existant.. I did ask my matron of honor and have 3 definite's for brides maids but all the rest is up in the air.

If you want to talk my message box is open.. or I can just yap and yap on here.

I'm a date twin! We've started some minor planning, but I think I'll be doing most of it during 2011. I have an internship, which means an extra month of summer (aka extra time to actually meet vendors instead of emailing everyone). I'm excited for it to start feeling real by making more decisions.

I am a date twin! 6/9/12 We just booked our venue, but still need to find a church. We were orginally thinking of getting married in Fall of 2011, but every venue we looked at was already booked. Our venue also had 2 out of the 5 Saturdays in June 2012 booked. I thought we were ahead of schedule in booking something, but I was wrong. We have picked and asked our bridal party. Picked out colors. My sisters have looked at bridesmaid dresses, but found nothing yet. With our wedding package at our venue, the wedding cake comes with it. We just have to go and tell them what we want. Also the DJ comes with it, so that's pretty much done. I have narrowed down the type of dress I want. THere is one that I love, but am going this Tuesday to try it on at another shop. I'm hoping they have a dress closer to my size and in white like I want to get a better idea of what it will look like.
