Hi, ladies!

I just wanted to share my big checks:

-Ceremony time booked (Mandalay Bay)
-Reception booked (Maggiano's!!  I'm SO excited!)
-Dress fitting set for next weekend
-Groom's suit purchased (on major sale, thanks rue la la! :))

We're getting there!  Hope you all are having a good day!

    You may want to wait until closer to your date to do dress fittings.  If you gain or lose anything between now and then you won't want to redo your work.

    You are very ahead of the game.  Planning should be a breeze for you!

    Sounds awesome.  Those are the biggies!

    Especially since Maggianos Books so far in advance.  We booked that place 18 months in advance.  I was not gonna lose my time and date!

    By dress fitting do you mean going to order or try on dresses? I agree with Smokey, you'll want to wait to do a fitting. I'm going to make an appointment with a seamstress soon, but I'm going to have the fittings done about a month before the wedding.

    Oh, yes!  I should say I'm picking up my dress, making sure it's what I ordered and basically "fits", then putting it in my closet for 6 months ;)   I decided to order it in my current size, so I don't feel too much pressure to lose weight.  It'd be nice to lose 25 pounds though... haha.

    We've been engaged for almost a year now, so I'm getting a bit antsy!  I wanted to make sure we had the big things settled, so we can enjoy planning the fun little things. :)

    You ladies have been SO helpful in the planning process so far.  I already feel like we're getting so much more for our money because of your tips.  TYVM!

    aw...im sooo jealous! Maggianos was booked up for my date in October. Any other places similar that you guys reccomend? Im leaning towards just going to the cheesecake factory. Is that super tacky?lol

    I am doing my first fitting 7 weeks before the wedding.  I figure I'll go in and do the fitting for the length, bustle and probably the bodice.  Come back in at 3 weeks out and try on again.  I will schedule a final fitting 1 week out just to make sure it is perfect.

    I think that even 6 months might be too far to start alterations.

    That sounds perfect!  I fully admit haven't thought much about that portion yet :)

    Also, I think Cheesecake Factory isn't weird, as long as you like eating there!  We were considering Joe's Crab and Mon Ami Gabi, too.  I'd recommend looking into the places on the sticky post ("wedding porn") to see what a lot of other ladies go with!  And keep checking back with Maggiano's - people cancel or change their reservations a lot!

    I got lucky with my date, I booked in October for my March wedding. She said it was so weird that it was empty! Congrats Cheryl, you have a ton of stuff done!!! :)
