~* CONFESSION FRIDAY *~

I confess around tax time I wish I wouldn't have gotten married because since we have been married we get crap back for our tax refund and this year we flippin owe !  The IRS can kiss my flippin asss. lol
I confess every time I read a FB status about taxes being filed or taxes going in the bank it makes me want to cry.
I confess that I am about to throw my phone across the room !  We had had network problems in my college the last 3 days and every feels the need to call and ask "are we still having problems?"  ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.  You haven't been able to access files for 3 days now and you still don't have access to them... do you really need to call me just for confirmation that we are indeed still having problems?!?  Idiots I tell ya lol
I confess that H brother GAVE US a frig for our garage about a year ago and we really only use it for a beer frig when we have people over so we decided to put it on craigslist and sold it for $75 lol.

I confess that I had an AMAZING day yesterday!

My girls picked out the bridesmaid dresses
We ate at the Cheesecake Factory.
Me, my MOH, Tab and Jen went to a Celebrity Fashion Show hosted by the Orlando Magic!  I got to meet (and take pics with) Nick Anderson (old Magic player), JJ Redick (EEEEEEEK!), and Adonal Foyle (SUPER nice guy).  I also got to meet Joey Fatone (NSync), Wanya Morris (Boys II Men), some Magic TV personalities (Dante and Galante and Scotty B).... It was amazing.

So, I also confess that FI is jealous/upset that I went and he had to work and didnt go... But I had a BLAST- and don't really feel bad that he missed out. I HIGHLY doubt he would have enjoyed that fashion show.  It's the meeting the players part that he's jealous about

I confess that I should have known better to stay up so late (uh... 5:30) when I was getting sick - thanks DD - and now I feel like shiiit.

I confess that I knew better than to keep giving DD kisses goodnight when she got sick, so it's as much my fault as it is hers. :)

I also confess that I thought there was some sort of tax benefit to getting married??? Now I'm confused!

I was thinking the same thing because  a friend of mine just let my sister do her taxes and they ended up getting more money when they filed jointly then if they both filed seperately. But after reading the article, i guess they both dont make the same amount of money so that is why it didnt affect them....right Jess?

Brit- It was amazing... I was definitely a nervous chick walking up to ANY of them!! JJ really wasn't too interested in anything, unfortunately. I asked for a pic, he took it, chewing his gum the entire time, then walked away. LIke, I  didn't really even get a chance to TALK to him.

Oh well. I have a picture with JJ. That makes me happy :-)

I also have a pic with Adonal where I'm like, bear-hugging him.  It's awesome!

And Jess- I'll be posting pics on the Facebook later, so you can show your friend :-)

I confess I owe the IRS money too. I always do because of my type of job (Real Estate Agent) but my accountant called me a few weeks ago to tell me my estimated payment ... wait for it .... $7-mofuggin'-thousand-dollars! I seriously have never paid over $3500 so I'm pissed! I'm trying to pinch pennies and save for the wedding and now this!

I also confess FI is getting money back and he is willing to buy me cycle shoes. YAY!

I confess that I am finishing my 5th week straight of working out 5 to 6 days a week. The bad news ... I haven't lost any freakin' weight! Gawd dang it all to hell and give me a dang milkshake! I'm hungry!

Erica, it's probably because you're converting the *softer* parts into muscle. I didn't see any difference for the longest time when I started working out, and then all of the sudden my clothes were too big. And if you gotta have a milkshake, do it right after a workout. ;)

My friday confession...I"m stressed out!  Just engaged, 3 months to the wedding, and I feel all alone in my planning...which adds stress and takes away the fun. FI listens, but he's a man.  I get alot of "hmmms" "uh huhs" and "that sounds good, babe"...My MOH is pregnant with her first child, so she's preoccuipied (understandably), and my mother and sisters (also bridesmaids) live 600 miles away in North Carolina.  So...here I am, planning my wedding and the only help am getting is you girls...bet ya didn't realize you were planning my wedding too!?! lol.

So in truth...my confession...i'm stressed out...and ready to cry.  But I can't stop obsessing about the wedding.  Oh, and I confess that listening to FI play his xbox only makes me want to cry more.  One more confession...i haven't worked out all week, and my "monthly" is due next week...so of course I had lots of chocolate today...shhh...

Ashley- I could see JJ being like that. It would be nice to think that he is pretty and nice, but that obviously that isn't always the case. I'm glad Adonal Foyle was amazing! I would love to meet him, he seems so nice! Besides the obvious of wanting to meet Dwight or Stan or JJ, I would LOVE to meet Mickael Pietrus!! I love him and my favorite thing is when he holds up 3 fingers after he makes a three. LOVE IT!!! lol I would love that as a poster!

Same here Tickled... I remember shortly after I got engaged, the first decision I tried to make (our venue), I felt like people were all against it and telling me why it's such a bad idea, and everyone wanted to say, "No, no, no." but nobody wanted to help with anything constructive. I'm sure part of it was just me overreacting because I expected it to be fun right off the bat, and there have been times that aren't fun. I've definitely cried over things, and I think that's pretty normal sometimes.

But, through it all, I started to have fun with things, and I find myself wishing I had a little more time to enjoy the planning and engaged time, because I feel like it has gone so fast! We only allotted a few months to plan, and through family circumstances, that time seemed to get cut even shorter, so I didn't really start seriously planning until about 4 months before the wedding.

So REALLY if you need help with anything, many people here are willing to help with whatever possible.

Thanks girls!  Ya'll are sweet, and it's encouraging to know i'm not alone.  I was just talking to FI this morning about why I'm so "distant" ...because i feel like i'm alone in the planning...he got offended b/c he thinks I'm saying he doesn't help, when that's not it at all...it's just that I'm obsessing about it b/c i see our short time frame looming over my head, where as he has games, computer, and other technologies to distract him.  *sigh* men.  lol. Can't live with them, but we still want to marry them!

I'll keep ya'll posted!  Going to Michael's this morning to get ideas for DIY bouquets!

Yea you do have a small time frame!

Maybe you should print out the wedding checklist and give it to him! Show him all the little clocks next to the items and make him understand that all of those are OVERDUE, and that you need his help attacking them ASAP.

Maybe that will put it into perspective?!

Have fun at Michaels! If you need to talk, we are here :)

I was also planning pretty much on my own.  And as we got closer to the wedding and people would ask how things were going, DH would reply "oh, everything is pretty much done" and I'd look at him like he was crazy lol  Then I wrote out a list that had everything (no matter how small, because that was the stuff that was constantly running through my head) and showed him and it helped him see that there was more than just "the big 5" (venue, dj, photog, florist).  He wasnt thinking about placecards (all DIY), table numbers (DIY), seating arrangement, programs (DIY) and even little stuff like taking the plastic wrapping off each individual votive candle lol (but I had a nightmare that the plastic didnt get taken off, so when the venue went to light them, they caught on fire, and the fire spread and poof we had burned down the hotel lol)

Make a list, and show it to him and maybe that will help, and maybe you can also ask him if theres anything he'd like to be in charge of doing.  I think some guys are under the impression that they're not supposed to want to help with stuff.  DH's guy friends made comments about just letting me do whatever I wanted and saying "sure dear" but in reality, he wanted to be involved.  He turned into a paper cutting machine and helped assemble all our paper goods.

And know that the girls here are very supportive and are sincere when they say they'd love to look at venues or go to makeup trials with you etc.  :-)
