Class Act DJ EDIT

Hello everyone. So yesterday I spoke with Bob Norris and he assured me that his DJ, Dakota, had been fired since my wedding. He is also going to send me a half refund in the mail this week. Hopefully with that DJ being gone from his company, so are all the other problems! Thanks everyone for your responses!

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry you went through all that.  How horrible.  I'd report them to BBB too!  But your email was wrote perfectly.

I know who Dakota is and am NOT surprised he acted that way.  Sorry that it was such a bad experience!  I agree with Kelly about the BBB.  Also, google his business and find where you can leave reviews and tell your story so that brides on other websites know your experience and can BEWARE.

WOW!! I would be LIVID too!!!!  I agree with Castillo2B, posting reviews and going on the BBB site will hit him where it hurts!

First of all, I am extremely sorry that this happened to you.

Even if you can't get any of your money back, I hope that you receive satisfaction from telling everyone how bad the service was!  I sure would!  I'm definitely a firm believer that 1 bad review is more powerful than numerous good reviews.  Tell your story whenever someone is interested in DJ information!

I promise you that this will seem better in time.  Our DJ's equipment failed in the middle of our father/daughter dance.  Her power strip stopped working and her lighting and music just stopped.  There were like 4-5 minutes of silence while she figured out what happened, plugged everything back into something else and loaded it back up.  This seemed like a big deal at the time and in the weeks following the wedding.  Now it's a year and half later and DH and I can laugh about it.

On the bright side, I'm sure you have images from your photographer to look forward to...  We love seeing pictures and you must share a few when you get them!

ETA:  Perhaps the worst part is your coupon if you choose to go with their company again.  My jaw literally dropped when I read that.  So unbelievable.

    How terrible!!!!!

We used Class Act and LOVED them.   We had Craig (and several of our friends have had him as well) and he went above and beyond and was truly fantastic.   It's really sad to hear you had such an awful experience.

Sounds like the owner needs to IMMEDIATELY fire this "Dakota", and brush up on the business skills as well.  :(

Like cschuma said though,  if everything else was great, that's wonderful, and over time it will seem wayyyy less important and you can still look back fondly on your wedding day. :)

Thanks everyone! The day was great, and the only thing that really pisses me off about the whole thing is that we did not get what we paid for (and that the owner is being such an a-hole). Everything else that day was fantastic, and thats all that matters.
@ Castillo2b and Merin: The part that got me infuriated was when Bob Norris was talking to my husband he was like "Oh, Dakota wouldn't do that, he's been with my buisness for 6 years and we've never had complaints", like we were lying or something! Needless to say, he told my husband that he yelled at him. I think he should have been fired!
