Glass Etching

So, we're being super original and glass etching various drinkware for the wedding party. Chris is doing beer mugs of course for the boys. I need some opinions for the girl ones. I'm torn between doing 4 glasses of what's listed below.

For my Matron of Honor I'm doing clear tea cups, six of them, with either the places the Anne of Green Gables books (I.e. Green Gables, Avonlea, Ingleside, etc) or just the name of a series on each one (i.e. Anne, Narnia, Harry Potter). We're huge book nerds who probably spend 90% of our time together reading or talking about books we've read.

Anyways, thoughts please! I've done a set of the wine glasses for myself and they turned out cute.

I like the idea for your MOH. As a huge reader myself, I think that is great!!

As for the poll, I like the mix of both. I think they would be cool conversation starters for whoever gets them! Smile

I've also been playing around with doing Christmas ornaments instead of glasses, but I honestly have no idea what I would etch.

I wish I could do bookwhore teacups for everyone.

Because as much as I love my girls, the response would be "Who the hell is Anne? And what is a Narnia?"

If you want some other ideas... you should check out the digital art on urbanthreads.com

We got our beer mug stencils from there... they also have a really great tutorial on using the etching paste and how to make awesome stencils.

Sure thing!  If you dig through their hand embroidery patterns there are some REALLY cute things in there.

    Good luck!

Great Idea. We too are doing etched glass but as favors for our 120 guests. We are etching our monogram and wedding date on a wine goblet for all our guests, can't wait to see the finished product
