Milk glass centerpieces...

I have been collecting random pieces of milk glass for centerpieces and table settings. I'm trying to think of things to put in the milk glass that aren't necessarily flowers. The woman who passed them on to me said she put pussy willow in hers (I had to look up what that was, lol). Any ideas? Any kind of greenery or something that stands out in your mind?

  • ferns? any type of firm grass, bunches of babys breath, even just little branches from small tree/shrubs that have leafs on them
  • Thank you ladies, I love these ideas! I also think I'm going to mix & match and have each one with something different... let's see how it goes! :D

  • maybe some fruit that are small and dainty.  I'm thinking of those little baby oranges that are so cute.  If you have any pedestal pieces little plantings of these with their spindly little branches would be lovely.  Another fruit of your choice could make it more personal, throwing back to maybe your culture/ancentries?  asian lichis or cumquats, fresh cranberries, coffee berries, or the carribean's bright green tiny citrus fruit with a very delicate flavor even your less adventurous guests will be pleasantly surprised.

Even if not, they could be used to hold/serve your hors d'euvres or to initiate interaction and a conversation as everyone finds a delicate way to reach around hands, pass the bowls and partake of your offered goodies.  You could put sugar crystaled and edible pansies or lavendar on top so that when the serving starts its a pleasant surprise and still a pretty presentation.
  • I saw paper flowers made out of floral paper. Its not exactly flowers....lol
