Bedford Village Inn

Anyone having or had their reception there? Or been to a reception there? Any advice? Things you like/didn't like?

We have decided to have our reception there. We absolutely LOVED it. She is mailing us the contract so we can book our date. Smile

    It's been a little while (10/2008), but we were married there and have nothing but wonderful things to say about BVI!  We had our ceremony and reception on site, and they made sure everything ran smoothly.

    Thats great! I'm so glad to hear it. We went to the tavern the other night for dinner and loved it. Reminded us so much of our favorite tavern that recently closed.

    It's definitely a charming place, and the staff have a certain standard that they have to maintain while on duty (unlike some other wedding venues) since BVI has a reputation to keep.  We love going back for dinner once in awhile!

    Who did you work with? We will be working with Krystal. When we toured we met with Michelle, but when I called back I spoke with Krystal and she sounds much nicer to me. Michelle was nice, but I don't know we just didn't get really great vibes from her. She didn't seem to care one way or the other.

    I've been to a wedding there before also.....it was lovely and it would be a great venue.

    Jen K. was our main point of contact.  Michelle is the over-all events coordinator and does most of the contract stuff while leaving the personal work to her assistants.  She can come off pretty dry, but she gets the job done so don't take it personally!

    I found that contact with BVI was sporadic until I got closer to my date (within 3-4 months).  Even then, wedding season was in full swing for them so repsonses were somewhat delayed, but they always got back to me via e-mail or phone and answered my questions.
