Allure Bridal

Have any of you bought a dress from them in a boutique or anything?  I am trying to get a sense of how much they cost.  I fell in love with the picture of a dress that is lace and gorgeous!  I have to start saving and I need to know approximately how much it would cost to fit into my budget.

This is the dress:

Re: Allure Bridal

  • Hopefully someone else will chime in here, but I want to say the Allure dresses are around the $1500-$2000?  I'm not for certain, though.

This is a beautiful dress!  One word of caution though before you consider this your dress and start saving for it -- go try it on.  I will tell you that myself and many other girls have found our "dream dress" in a magazine or online, been excited about trying it on and purchasing it... and then we actually do go try it on and it just doesn't look right on our body at all.  I don't want you to spend a long time coveting something that you don't love.  Definitely find a place to try this dress on, or at least something very similar to it.

  • Ohh oooh! My dress is Allure! They have TONS of lace dresses, so if you don't like this one on, you may find another you like. My dress is lace, and very slim (so not a lot of material), and the price was 1200. However, they were having a 20% off all bridal dresses at Terry Costa (where they have tons of Allure dresses), so I ended up paying right at 1000 with tax included.
They have a lot of trunk shows around Dallas as well that you should check out.
I LOVE Allure dresses... I had such a hard time choosing between two.

I didn't wind up with an Allure, but several of my other favorites were Allures. I found them at Pence and Panache, a lot of them were in the low 1000 range, some were closer to 1500-1800.
  • Thanks ladies!  Unfortunately I live in Wichita Falls going to school.  My wedding will be in DFW though because that's where I grew up.  I won't be able to go try on dresses for awhile because I just can't get down to the metroplex to do it.  All we have here is a davids bridal.  I have tried on dresses at davids bridal with the same shape and it always looked good so I am hopeful.

My dress is by Allure, I LOVE their dresses and BM dresses too! Mine was 1800.00+taxes, then 10% off,so it was right at 1700.00 with taxes. They are expensive but beautiful. I went to their website and found a boutique( Classy Concepts) and got mine from there. So go on their website and put in your zip code, you may found one close by.Good luck!!

  • My dress is an Allure and it was right around $1100. But like Cwaggoner, mine is very slim and not a lot of material so since the one that you've picked out is more elaborate, it may cost more.

I will warn you though, I was a little disappointed with my dress when it came in. I've only tried it on a few times and have always put it safely back in the bag but I have already noticed a few snags in the lace (not tears, just places where pieces are sticking out, unsewn) and a few of the clasps that go around the buttons have popped off. I'm guessing that it's just because I bought on the lower-end of Allure's scale and maybe they just aren't made as well. :( I know they have a Couture line though (read: more expensive) and it looks like yours might be from that line. I'm guessing those are a little more bang for your buck.

  • I agree with everyone...definitely try on the dress before you buy, but if you've tried on similar styles, you will probably be ok.

I was loving the Allure dresses, and I was intending on buying one, but when I went to Classy Concepts in Mansfield I found one that looked so similar but was a little less expensive because it was their private label.

You should make an appointment for a Saturday or a Sunday at one of the boutiques here in the DFW and just make a day trip of it with your mom or whomever is going with you...it's definitely worth it to actually try them on, and it will be a fun little getaway for you :)

I'll have to go to Classy Concepts.  That way I can get something similar for less price.  We are some what splurging on photography I believe so I don't want to spend much on everything else but I still want it to look good.
