Too Cold In January?

So, we have changed the location, again! haha. We're going with Red Mountain Ranch Country Club in Mesa. We may also change the date to the end of January because it may end up working out better for us.

I'm just wondering if it's going to be too cold. It would be for the ceremony only and then indoors for the reception. The ceremony is going to be on the garden rooftop, which is partially enclosed. We could even rent heaters if we need to.

Oh, and I did some research and the average high at the end of January is 69 degrees.

What do you ladies think?

I don't think it will be too cold.

My Canadian fiance was last down here at the beginnng of February, and he commented that our 68 degree weather was a "cool summer's day" for him.  That reminded me that our perspectives regarding temperature tend to be a little skewed. ;)  When I lived in New Hampshire, 70 degrees was shorts and t-shirt weather!

I don't think it will be too cold at all. I went to a wedding on 1/30 of this year and it was slightly chilly, but not bad at all!

As long as you pass along that it will be outdoors, I think everyone will be prepared with a jacket.

Definitely not too cold!  I'm biased of course since my wedding is the first week in Jan next year.  I lived in Phoenix all my life until 2 years ago when I moved away.  I personally can't stand the heat and being in a huge gown and the men in suits, I think it will be perfect!  Hopefully guests will understand and bring coats if it's cold out :)

Lol, we're coming back in July for a family visit and some planning stuff.  I started complaining about the heat since we decided we were coming (this past Jan).  We went out to our reception site in January exactly one year before our wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL!  The weather was prefect!  I actually kind of hope it's a little bit cold!

We looked at that venue and also saw the garden roof top.  I think you will be fine.  When we looked at the venue they told us that the roof top is normally warmer (due to the partial enclosure) and than if you had the ceremony on the lawn.

We really liked their patio and the reception room.  I think that it will be beautiful in January!

Just think, even if it is cold to you, chances are it is nice weather for everyone from out of town!  In January it will probably be in the 60s, while it is below 0 in some states!  If it is a little chilly for the ceremony you can just rent some heaters, no biggie :-)
