WWYD? Wedding Diet related/ Rant

My birthday was yesterday, and I totally overindulged on a super yummy dinner and dessert with FI last night.  So I was all ready to "be good," since my first alterations appointment is this Saturday.

Well, my team forgot that it was my birthday yesterday, and brought me a huge balloon, and 18 cupcakes today.  Cupcakes are my weakness......  I love the extra frosting/cake ratio, and most of them are my favorite- Red Velvet.... OMG I can just imagine what the cream cheese frosting would taste like right now ::::drool::::

WWYD????
P.S.  Staying on Diet vibes are SOOOO needed right now!  Embarassed

Have 1 and ONLY 1 cupcake.  Tell the team as much as you LOVE the cupcakes, they HAVE to take the rest as your birthday gift to help you reach your weight loss goal. *vibes for strong diet will*

You can do it...think how you'll feel walking down the aisle in your dress, with it fitting perfectly.....

And happy birthday (a day late!)  :)

Aw, I'm sorry! I agree that you should go ahead and enjoy 1 red velvet cupacke. and tell the team that they should enjoy the rest with you. and don't feel bad, a little indulgence won't ruin anything. As long as you stay on track you will be great. and just think about what would happen if you ate a bunch of cupcakes, the sugar rush, the upset stomach, the headache after crashing-- that alone would keep me from binging (most of the time). so enjoy your bday celebration part 2. and stay focused on that dress :)

OMG! I love red velvet too! Yum!!!! ........Definitely have one!.....but just one. And spend an extra 30 minutes on the treadmill.....or whatever you do. If you want two cupcakes, spend an extra hour! You could burn off two cupcakes by walking on the treadmill for 2 hours. It's all about calories in/calories out.

But I am a firm believer in indulging during specail days. I look at my diet as a lifestyle change and everything I do has to be sustainable....and not having a red velvet cupcake on my birthday would just not be sustainable for me. But just make up for at the gym.....especially since you indulged yesterday. Smile

A girl after my own heart!  I too LOVE cupcakes and never realized that it's the frosting to cake ratio.

I agree with everyone's advice put together.  Allow yourself just one and then spend some extra time exercising to burn off those calories.

And to limit yourself to just the one, visions of skinny you walking down the aisle will definitely help.

*Good diet vibes* I agree with PPs. Eat 1 cupcake and do some extra time in your workout. Smile

F/U:  I just ate a cupcake, and it was delicious.   And now I'm offering the other cupcakes to anyone who walks past my desk, so far 6 people have "helped me" Smile

To make up for "being bad" I'm going to start taking the stairs up to the 6th floor (top floor) when I get home, and walking down the stairs to my floor (3) for the rest of the week.

That is a fantastic idea. I have been considering something like that myself, but I only live on the second floor of a 3 floor building. I was afraid people would think I'm weird or something, but if there is someone else out there doing it too, I guess than I don't have to feel silly about it. :D

My building has about 3 different sets of stairs, the only one on the main level doesn't take me to my wing of the building, so I'd be taking 2 different sets of stairs.... so hopefully no one thinks I'm creepy Innocent
