Gift for the Future In Laws

My soon to be in-laws will be coming to the states in mid April.  My parents (or me for that matter) have not met them yet and my parents are having them over for brunch a couple of weeks before our wedding.

My question is what should my parents get them as a gift.  I know that gifts and gift giving is very important culturally to them (they are south Indian and my parents are catholic and jewish) but I have no idea what to get them.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
TIA
Alexis

Sari's are a great gift. I know we buy them for the family members. Anything really will impress them. Uncle's as bad as it sounds Alcohol is a good option.

We have a lurker thread down below.. I would love to hear more about you if you want to introduce yourself!

Gold is also a good gift, like a gold chain or pendant are nice for your future MIL.  For the uncles, maybe a shirt and tie?  Those are popular gifts for men.  Another is a watch or wallet.

maybe a personalized frame, with the wedding date on it,  to put a future family picture in from the wedding.

    a designer tie....whiskey for uncle....

for MIL maybe a silk clutch (i just found these..i think they ship from UK but they're gorgeous) http://www.etsy.com/shop/redrubyrose (there are some peacock designs and other indian inspired)

    hope this helps :)

My parents had planned to give my ILs a wedding album, framed photos, and books.  My ILs are both art historians and certain art books aren't available in India plus they're really expensive.  Ask your FI if there is anything they really like that you can't get in India.
