Wedding Cake Search-- East Bay

Any recommendations for wedding cakes (or even cupcakes) in the East Bay?  Our wedding is going to be in Berkeley, California.  We want a nice wedding cake, but do not want to spend a fortune on it.  Any advice is welcome! :)  Thank you!

    Check out yelp! A lot of people in making their comment include pictures and an estimate of which they paid. Also type in wedding cake in the search option of this wedding board down at the bottom of the main board page for Northern California.

    We're using Glass Slipper Gourmet and she is based near Walnut Creek, but in Berkeley there are quite a few reasonably priced bakers and bonus is that they won't charge a travel fee.  The most affordable, and they do a really great job of decorating, is Sweet Adeline, but they mostly have just basic flavors, nothing too fancy.  But also check out Virginia Bakery as well as Cakes by M.E. and Carolyn Wong.....all these can be found on Yelp in Berkeley.
