Photographer Costs

I started researching some photographers and I was really caught off guard by how expensive it's gotten.  I didn't budget nearly enough for it and now I'm stressing a little bit.  I have a friend who could do it, but the pictures just aren't something I'm willing to gamble on a non professional.  You can't get those pictures back.  Has anyone used a relatively inexpensive photographer?  Is $2500 really about average?

    There's some  a little cheaper out here you have to do your research I'm using Grier photography there are around two thousand and you get two.

    I'm using Krisa Pper (PipersPhotography) from columbus. She is so wonderful. I can't say enough good things about her. She was about 1500. The engagement pictures are included with a CD of all the pictures and copy rights. She also uses a second photographer the day of the wedding so there are two people getting shots instead of just her. Check out her website. She only charges $50 for travel outside of columbus.

    I am using JLK Photography and we are getting the middle package for about $1500. We are getting an engagement session with 40-50 prints, the photography for the wedding day, 1 set of parent prints. and album with at least 160 photos and the remainder of the photos separatly. We get the files and rights to all the photos. I plan on making my own wedding albums. We really like him and several of my family members have used him for previous weddings and they were all happy as well.

    We are using Modern Belle Photography by Erin Michelle Heckler. This woman is 100% AMAZING!! We just had our engagement photos done last weekend and had sooo much fun! She has a package that's just shy of $2000 and it includes a ton of stuff! All day wedding coverage as well! I love her! lol

    Keep Searching, There are many photographers around that will be less than $2500. It all depends on what you are looking for. I am going with Lindsay King Photography, they are amazing, I belive all their packages are under $2000. They are really good at making sure they capture your unique look rather than photos that look like everyone elses. Good luck with the search.

    I'm using Sandy Brackett of Sandra B Photography. Here is her website: http://sandrabphotography.com/home Her prices are great. I think her wedding package is $1500? I don't know really because she gave us an amazing discount (she's a church member). She also did our engagement photos, which were AMAZING. And so much fun. She and her husband come to take photos on your day of, so you've got two photographers. She comes for the whole day, and provides you with digital copies. I forget what all we actually get as far as prints and albums go, but I know something comes with the package.

    I am using Hudson Studio of Photography. She has many packages that are less than $2500, and she's amazing: http://www.hudsonstudioofphotography.com/

    Also, my MOH used Jennifer Mott for her wedding, and she was great too. Her prices are reasonable as well.

    WOW! $2500 is alot. we are going with K & D photography, we are paying $1050, they did our engagement photos, they turned out great! They are also great to work with!!

    I am using Gallippo's Photography out of Wauseon, and they are AMAZING!  Their packages are a bit more expensive, but they include printing credit, which is really nice!!
