Are you supposed to mail out invitations 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding date or RSVP date ? Wedding date May 25. When should I mail out invitations ?

I think its 6-8 before the wedding... but u wanna make sure u allot time for RSVP.. when do u have to have your final count to your caterer?

Exactly...I just mailed (I should've sent them in January)...my RSVP date is may 16th.. I figure there will b scragglers.. I need to confirm totals June 12th.. wedding July 12th..

I have to have my final count in by May 10. May rsvp deadline is May 3 but I wanted to set it for April 26 to give that extra week to the late strugglers. I want to mail out March 24. Will that be ok for april 26 rsvp date ?

I think that is up to you... it depends on how much time you feel your guest will need to decide if they can make it or not.. you know some people don't need much time, but others..

when is your wedding.. if it's close to memorial day.. you may want to give people some time so that they can make sure that they can make it and don't make alternate plans..

If you have been telling them, and they already know.. then you may not need to give them a lot of time..

My choice to give about three weeks for stragglers(that sounds like the wrong word..lol) is simply to try to keep me from stressing.. but I fear this will backfire on me..

I, like Mari, gave a 3 week allowance to track Down delinquent RSVP. My wedding is April 21, need counts in by March 21st. Set my RSVP date for March 1st and am soooo glad we did, coz we still tracking down a few. Honestly, we had to call over 75% of our guests. Why folk just can't RSVP, I'll never know

My RSVPs are due by March 15 which is tomorrow. I am mad because I spent all this money to get postage for the cards and people are just sending me text messages. but when I told yall fools to RSVP on the website none of yall did....I just dont get it...I know today is the time of technology...but yall are noncompliant on both ends....

End of rant...drops mike after saying...SEXUALLY CHOCOLATE!

Dont forget to stomp your feet and say SEXUALLY CHOCOLATE lol..lol..I would be so pissed if people dont mail them back. I never understand black people when needing to return something that already has paid postage. Just send the damn rsvp back alreay..damn..damn..DAMN !
