Feel free to smack me if this has already been covered. Also, fair warning, I am overthinking this entirely way too much.
I just finished cutting all the RSVP postcards, so I am now finalizing the layout to print them. My mother and I discussed putting "Number attending" after the "Will attend" line. I feel like no matter what we do, people might read into things (as I am clearly doing right now!).
If we put the "Number attending" line, people may assume that means more are invited than those listed on the envelope (which is a bad assumption, but it's bound to happen) and may assume their children are invited and write down 5 when only 2 are invited.
If we don't put the "Number attending" line, I won't know if people will still assume their kids are invited and bring them to the wedding and I will have no way of informing them beforehand that unfortunately their children were not invited.
Does that make sense? Are you including a "Number attending" line? Can you tell me some pros and cons or things I am not clearly thinking of on my own to having (or not having) such a line?!
