Alterations?

I've just moved back to DSM and I'm bringing my un-altered dress with me. I need a few names of someone to do the alterations on my dress. I'm over in the Beaverdale area. Any advice would be great. Someone told me about someone behind Curves on 42nd street... that's all I've gotten so far.
Oh, I don't want to spend a fortune... but it needs hemmed & the straps need shortened.Laughing

    i know it's not near beaverdale - but there's and alterations person in Jordan Creek that have always done great work for me. It's kiddie-corner from the Younkers entrance (inside). They've never been too expensive either!

    I highly reccomend Becky Jennings in Ankeny. I used her for my wedding dress, my BM dress, my sister's wedding dress, and several other BM dresses.

    She's an older lady who does alterations from her home.

    I highly suggest Carol Short - she is my former neighbor (I moved in with my FH).  She's awesome!  She's in Waukee though which is a bit of drive from the Beaverdale area.  515-987-1301.  Please tell you got her number from Leslie.
