Where have you all shopped for invitations? Ordered samples from Ann's but they got the sample order wrong so I'm a bit worried they will get the real order wrong. Ideas?

I"m thinking about making mine but not sure yet. I was thinking of gettting ivory cardstock and pocket folds from www.cardsandpockets.com and then designing, cutting, printing and gluing everything together myself. i thought of maybe sealing them with a sticker or a wax seal perhaps but I'm not sure how well that would work.

I used to use wax seals but never had much luck with them. Always ended up with strings of wax straggling off of the main mass and not sealing the envelope well.

My daughter spent months looking at invitations and finally decided that the best selection was on-line at David's Bridal.

I took care of the ordering; the people at David's were very easy to work with.

I also bought mine at Target. I downloaded a couple neat fonts at dafont.com.
Printing them was super easy as well.

I sent them out last week, and I'm already getting a lot of compliments on them

I got mine at Target and did them all by myself. It was a pain while I was doing it, but I love the final project. It saved A LOT of money.

I worked with Heather at Letterpress Light. She did a custom invitation for us and was great to work with.

Cherri, how much per invite did you spend for the letterpress?

Theresa: I think they were about $7/invitation. A little pricey for invitations, but not bad for the quality since they are letterpress on Crane paper. She charges a design fee and a fee for the plates, so it becomes cheaper the more invitations there are (I only ordered 80).
