We looked at "The Village" this past weekend however did not get good vibes, The lady was upset that we showed up early and she was attending to the bar. They have one room which is used for both ceremony and reception area, she stated she did not have enough people to move out the tables so dinner tables would be visible, although I want a garden wedding and asked about that in the email I had sent her,she didn't tell me or show me where they had that set up until I asked while sitting there, she then took us out and showed us. Im not sure if she was just having a bad day or she is just like that all the time. :( I did contact Kemah Gardens and the lady there is amazing any email I sent she answered the same day we had planned on going there Sunday but with all the rain we called her and cancelled the appointment she was so sweet and understanding. The pricing is good at both venues, I just feel that if I got an attitude from the Sales Manager at The Village and I'm the bride I can't imagine how it might go with my guest I don't want them to feel uncomfortable.

I am a wedding and event planner and Kemah Gardens is a great venue :) Not to mention the beautiful suites that you can choose from to stay in if needed. Very nice venue and the owner is really customer service oriented and will go out of her way to ensure that you have a perfect day.

    Hello,

Here is a highlights video of a wedding I did at Kemah Gardens last October. I think it gives a good sense of the venue, though the day was cloudy. They had their wedding on the dock & the reception on the lawn & inside the house.

Overall we had a great time at Kemah Gardens. The staff helped my husband and me a lot to the wedding colors, sashes, flowers, decorations, ceremony order, catering service suggestions and cake designers.  Ciria was very attentive to us and she thoughtfully filled all of our needs.  On the day of the wedding, it is predictable that not everything is going to go according to plan, but Ciria was flexible and helped us make the day flow seamlessly and everything worked out just fine.  We really enjoyed our experience at Kemah Gardens.  It is a beautiful outdoor venue with a lot of greenery that survived even the worst year of a Texas drought.  All of our guests complimented the venue and felt very relaxed and at home.  We had planned for 100 people and actually had 75 but the venue was just the perfect size for our families.

For those planning future weddings, our "lesson learned" or bit of advice would be to warn you if you choose the all-inclusive package, be aware that the DJ in that package is the bottom of the barrel.  Her name is Shawna.  She was overcommitted to other jobs and apparently lacked any organizational abilities.  Consequently, she irresponsibly delegated her work to be done by inadequate people and if it wasn't for my husband bringing all of our wedding songs on a USB drive, we would not have even had our own ceremony music or first dance music.  Otherwise, as long as you communicate your needs to Kemah Gardens and pay a little more for the DJ, you should be covered.  All you have to do is take a look at the sample pictures on the website and you'll be convinced that each wedding comes out picture perfect for the wedding album.  We highly recommend this venue to you.
